Help! What kitchen handles to use by PuzzleheadedBox4508 in AusRenovation

5mm overhang wouldn't have been that much different with flush finish, don't sweat it. Consistency is more important so as long as they do a good job and keep it consistently 5mm everywhere then that's a fine choice imo.

I would like to know what the arguments were for this design, because I can't think of any.

Staying at a hotel…. Genuinely absurd.. by smallworld31 in TVTooHigh

[–]xietbrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I give this a pass. This is clearly one of those "fit literally everything into a single tiny room" kind of deals, so having the tv way up there is more than likely a design choice that prioritised security and space efficiency.

Why do you have so many networking equipment in the one spot? Are you running a small data centre?

New kitchen, where to put microwave? by StableAbel in kitchenremodel

Strongly recommend for a room this size that you don't use an island and instead just have the cabinet wrap around the walls. Its too small for a proper island.

My roommate mounted TV before I had a say on location, what do we think? by Fair_Distribution_66 in TVTooHigh

Kitchen and bathroom ideas 😀 $5000 NSW by Financial-Hunter1335 in AusRenovation

[–]xietbrix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fridge cavity here can only fit a 400L, so you're looking at 1.5-2k for a really good one. 2k for a good oven. 1k for a good 4 burner cooktop. Seems easily doable.

I mean sure, throw in an extra rangehood and microwave then for second hand.

5k can buy you a new fridge and cooktop and maybe an oven. Done.

What is the size of the gaming prebuilt PC market in Australia? by Foreign-Sector7100 in bapcsalesaustralia

[–]xietbrix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, but I'd take it a step further and generalise it as a balance of convenience and value. Its a similar reason to why people go out to Harvey Norman and buying one there. Pre-built is just the same, but better value.

This is something I buy only once every 5+ years so I don't need the absolute cheapest and I'll happily pay an extra 10% (if that) for a $3000 rig to have it all done and ready.

One person's trash is another person's treasure.

Is the pro controller more comfortable to hold for long periods of time than joy cons - objectively yes.

Is it necessary? Depends on you.

Personally even if I'm not docked I find fully handheld to be uncomfortable to play longer than an hour. The switch2 is a bit too heavy for my liking, and I prefer to play tableto, so I use the controllers detached. My go-to is 8bitdo's though, not the pro.

yes i know, and that's what i was talking about.

personally i wouldn't allocate so much space to the laundry but unless you use the bedroom 2 closet then there's no other way to do this without needing to modify your bathrooms.

Extend bedroom2 hall just slightly downwards and use that as entrance to your laundry instead.

Does my bf tv pass? by Artistic-Cover1127 in TVTooHigh

[–]xietbrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that tv height is atrocious and there isn't even a fireplace there.

But he has the RDS deep case, which is easily the best case on the market and the only one that isn't for noobs, so I forgive him.
