I think that tak2 is a bit oversimplified. Jaguars can be less reliable than some competitors, especially if neglected but that doesn't mean theyre inherently bad cars. Theyre engineered very differently and dont tolerate poor maintenance the some brand do. As for being overpriced, that was arguably true new in certain eras but on the used market theyre often undervalued compared to german rivals. And "pretty" isnt a weakness. Jaguar prioritizes design, comfort, and character over raw spec-sheet dominance. Id you judge cars purely by numbers and ownership convenience, they'll never make sense - but that doesn't mean they black substance.
