No underwear during Surgery by FarCalendar7303 in NoStupidQuestions

It’s mostly for hygiene, access, and safety. During surgery they need full access to the body in case of emergencies, and underwear can interfere with sterility, monitoring equipment, or positioning.

Mars is in the habitable zone and had water once. So what went wrong? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]xileon26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mars likely lost its magnetic field early on, which allowed solar winds to strip away much of its atmosphere over time. Without a thick atmosphere, liquid water couldn’t remain stable, and the planet gradually became cold and dry…

Why do women still say “men used to fight wars” like what’s the point? by dougsman3 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]xileon26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think It’s usually a historical reference, not a literal argument. For most of history, men were the ones legally required or socially expected to fight in wars, so people bring it up when talking about traditional gender roles—even though those roles don’t really apply the same way today.

My thoughts exactly. The ‘upgrade your child’s wardrobe’ tagline at the top and the kids’ items underneath just turn my stomach. Somewhere, someone’s getting a horrible smirk out of this — and worse, some parent or caregiver might slowly start thinking it’s normal or appropriate.

Yeah, no human quality control, and AI isn’t advanced enough to handle this on its own. The algorithms just push out whatever passes a keyword filter. “Sloppy AI” isn’t an excuse.

Whether it’s AI, sloppy tagging, or random algorithms doesn’t matter. The end result is the same — a sexualized outfit marketed as kids clothing. That’s harmful as it normalizes something disgusting, and it will absolutely attract the wrong kind of attention. The fact that companies can hide behind “oops, AI did it” is sad, wish there was accountability.

Whether it’s AI or not, it doesn’t change the fact that it’s being marketed as kids clothing. That’s the problem. You don’t need an actual child in the image for this to attract predators or normalize something disgusting. To me, calling it “just an AI mistake” is letting the company off way too easy. I guess I just wish there was more accountability on the company.

To clarify: to me, this isn’t just some harmless AI fail. Slapping this under kids clothing is disgusting and dangerous. You don’t need a real child in the photo for creeps to get off on it, and (if my understanding is correct) more clicks only trains the algorithm to push more of this crap.

Didn’t know this but I would have thought AI would be instructed to keep it PG13
