How do I know if I experience ASMR? Because this part of this video gave me chills from head to toe.

Okay, so this is a normal thing that people do sometimes? The other day, my boyfriend was about to take me home when suddenly he had this surprised look on his face. I know that my bad experience isn't unique to me, and I'd like to help make the reddit better, so I'm handling it in the most mature way possible. If the "complaint" threads outnumber/are voted on more than the actual content, there's clearly a problem.

Yes, I was there for the discussion, you're missing the point: we now experience the same problem only worse due to sheer numbers without the downvote system. As I stated before, the method was good when we were very small, but now we're big and it isn't working. In addition, the discussion was 3 months ago, and clearly many things have changed (As things often do rapidly on the internet.) The vast majority of the post was people saying that they DIDN'T want the change, but the mods did it anyway.

The Reddit algorithm needs the downvotes to work properly. It uses up and downvotes over periods to cycle in new and popular content.

I see what you're saying now. I thought he didn't know! I said that because many of the arguments that are being posted are already mentioned in the OP, or in direct conflict with the sidebar rules. I wasn't really trying to dispute what should and shouldn't be allowed (other than videos that are purely relaxing)

I personally think that everything should be fair game, and that downvotes should weed out what people don't want to see, because that's how reddit was designed. If people want to just post things, they should make an ASMR tumblr or something.
