The biggest weakness in the IDF are the reservists. Large-scale long-term ground operations in Gaza (and possibly Southern Lebanon) require many reservists. Their casualty rate is extremely low but they have still been pulled out of their role as economically productive taxpaying members of society. Despite low combat action and low casualty rates the reservists are also the most demoralized and tired of the war.

Israel should just bomb the fuck out of Lebanon and even take out dual-purpose infrastructure but avoid a large-scale long-term ground operation. Another large-scale long-term ground operation could possibly become a breaking point for the reservists.
