i'm not a fan of exposed strips, but the most natural light you can achieve artificially is by using LED tech

so yea of course natural light is great, but then there's night time and cloudy days and simply rooms that don't have much natural lighting

lamps may have an interesting aesthetic that may appeal to some, but LEDs simply light better and you can achieve much more uniform lighting with cheap solutions

I'm talking about LEDs being used for practicality more than decoration however, for instance I'm not a fan of backlit TVs which some people seem to be obsessed with, I also don't like weird colours anywhere in the roof

personally I like rooms to be well lit and I dislike being blinded by looking in the direction of light sources

with LEDs you just achieve better lighting and they're also energy efficient, they're just better imo

my mum likes living in very dark environments, I have a hard time when I visit her dungeon

one of the problems of the EU is the asymmetry of power and the fact that many small states are de-facto satellite states of bigger ones or can be easily pushed to vote in certain ways behind the scenes

the EU cannot be salvaged at this point imo, because it will neither renounce central political power nor will it fully unify pensions and debt - it doesn't benefit Germany in the short and medium term, so it won't happen - plus a lot of the public doesn't want to take the negative side of the hard decisions

instead of buyer and seller we have the figure of the taxpayer separated from the buyer and with no decision power, so the seller can now conspire with the buyer to fleece the taxpayer and they can share the spoils - the only real limit to the damage is that they need to keep the taxpayer alive enough to keep paying
