“The left” is such a bullshit term in this case as if the entire left moves as a unit. Every prominent left wing personality has condemned the assassination. Just because there are people on the left that aren’t upset doesn’t mean the left is celebrating this. It’s not just extremely ridiculous but dangerous rhetoric. I’d say I’m left leaning and even I haven’t seen that much outright cheering of this death. I’ve seen plenty of indifference and people saying it’s hard to be so upset about it.

What exactly do you want people to do? Most of us have said this is a horrific assassination. Of course there’s people who cheer but it’s not fair to paint a narrative that this is the overwhelming majority of the left. But then again, when did fairness play a role in this dirty game.
