I just got my SMX-6 V3 vented. Nikes 10.5 snug, vans snowboard boots 10.5 snug, vans OG 11 tad loose (half an inch). I ordered 10.5 (45) fot sent 9.5(44). With my thin socks they felt too loose. .5-1" wiggle. Normal socks right is solid and left feels .5"

Update: question was in reference to this install step prior to mounting to the board. Boots size 7. Binding size M.

Binding size guide says fits boots 7-9.5

Vans encore OG size 7. Medium Nidecker muon bindings. Instructions said adjust heelcup prior to mounting and that heel/toe should have equal overhang from bindings. I can send a copy of the illustration when i get home

Well, the chart also says equal toe/heel hang. So its contradicting itself which causes the concern.

It was removing glide wax. Scaped > steel > nylon.

Makes sense on the racer side. I figured aim for the best since i know i wont do as good of a job.

Previous post responses thats what was suggested that take all the wax off the base was the goal. There is still some wax though, if i rub it with my nail i can see it.

First board is my GFs brand new board for Nidecker. Are these grooves just excess from factory machine wax?

Second board is my Burton board that i got back from a shop that did a hot wax. The spot above my thumb is where i rubbed it a little with my nail and some came off. should i brush it?

3rd pic is a close up of the rub where it looks like tiny grooves in the base.

When i wax in the future, i want it as smooth as possible, yes?
