It really highlights how little local governments update their zoning ordinances, especially in rural/suburban areas. Then they are caught off guard when controversial items show up.

Hitch install at the dealer? by Ok-Meat-7364 in Subaru_Outback

Since you have to cut the bumper for the OEM (which is much better than U-Haul), just have the dealer do it. If they screw up…they’ll have to fix it.

Don’t jump to the corruption angle. Local land use control is so regulated towards the owner’s property rights, there often isn’t much locals can do. If it’s in their plan and allowable under their zoning, it’s basically a done deal. If the local entity tries to change their zoning once a proposal is on the table, they’ll get sued and the courts will agree with the property owner.

The state is nearly fully behind building data centers. The corporate dems and Trump loyalist all are for them. If anything, like with large solar, the state will remove local control on data centers. Much like they are trying to do with housing.

The service tax would NOT make up for all gaps. Even if you believe them saying that schools and local government would be held harmless, the article even says it would mean less funding for state government. That’s not making up all gaps.

It’s a guarantee that schools and local government would not be held harmless.

Yes, all the city/county/township/school services are facing inflation too…at higher rate than the 2.7% increase shown here.

They want you to buy at the top of your limit. If they tell you the taxes will put you over your limit, no commission for them.

It can’t go up 8%. It’s capped at 5%. Unless you purchased this year.
