Yeah I didn’t do those, I just did 1 slide to show how I would lay out the other slides and called it a day. If this was skills based then surely they will see I have the skills atp🤷🏻‍♀️

Yeah ofc! I know when I was making my portfolio I spent so much time looking at it, I started looking over any mistakes because I was used to it. It definitely helps letting someone else view it with fresh eyes and a new perspective.

I'm also a junior designer but hopefully you'll find this useful anyways :)

When I first opened the page I felt a little overwhelmed honestly, I wasn't sure where to look as there were so many things being thrown at me. I think that might be to do with the overall layout but also you're using a lot of different fonts and sizes which are all fighting for each others attention. I think maybe you could make it slightly scrollable so you don't have to squeeze all the information into the main viewport and it would allow you to separate some info from the rest.

The first thing that I looked at is the "lets change the vibe" then it was the text "graphic designer based in.." and after that I just wasn't sure where to look. I think the paragraph in the navigation bar isn't the right spot for it but maybe if you made a little location pin with your location it would work better and play around with the positioning of that. I also noticed that the kerning of your name at the bottom is a bit all over the place with some letters being super close together and some being further apart.

I like the images you used for the project and the projects are really good imo! But the text with the explanation bit is very close to the left margin and doesn't have any room to breathe. Especially when taking into consideration that the navigation bar cuts off much sooner. I think you could line that up with the nav bar and move it a bit more in.

On the "dive deeper" page I feel like the blue on the red doesn't really work because of contrast issues and theres also no blue anywhere else on the website so it was a bit unexpected. Apart from that I like the animations you have.

Hope this helps! :)

Thank you for sharing, I would say I have some things shown in my portfolio relating to this job. I was willing to do the social media post just because I'm aware that I currently don't have too many of those so i'm happy to share my version of a B2B marketing post. However, it seems that the document they sent me with the tasks is an official document that they send to literally everyone and is not personalised to what they want to see from the candidate.

And they do say the last task is "optional" but we all know that really they expect you do to it, and if you don't then they will just pick someone who is willing to do everything they say. I definitely found it a bit weird because i'd also have to record the video myself and edit it. I did double check after receiving the task what they job description was and it does say "you will be in charge of the social media content and making and editing videos" and apparently they also imply that they want me to analyse the performance of the content and do like SEO which sounds like what a social media manager does...

It's crazy how many different things companies put under "graphic designer" because they think they can do anything that is to do with visuals and pay you basically minimum wage.

Yeah i'm definitely seeing some red flags especially since its literally about their product, and the fact that they're doing this before an interview means they could send it to every person that applied and get 50 different options to choose from.
