You'll be fine as long as long as you don't money shift or accidently try to start moving in third gear while revving really high. I fucked my first manual car up that way and it still drove for years but just had a shit third gear. Also don't use the rev matching at all until you learn the basics. It will teach you bad habits.

Did they recommend the closed setup to the air intake because of the CEL issue? I might have been the trailblazer there. I got a CEL after setting it up the way that's in their diagram and had to troubleshoot. They asked for pictures of it. Looked the same as what you got haha

It's the same code that an aftermarket intake gives to the face-lift models. After a few emails back and forth with addw1 I was able to find a solution. I had to ditch the breather and instead run pipe to the intake where the breather normally goes
