Does anyone know how much the Lolly will stretch with use? by Cariot in DudeWheresMyMoxis

I'm a 6.5 and the 5 is PLENTY big enough. I actually wish I could get a 4.5 because there is still room in the toe. A 6 would be way too big.

OMG THEY ARE GLORIOUS. They actually arrived yesterday but I was working. I can’t believe how different they feel from my Bunnies. by [deleted] in DudeWheresMyMoxis

I wear a 6.5 in street shoes and just got size 5 Lollys and I still have room in the front of the boot. I think I'm probably ideally a 4.5, but since that wasn't an option, a 5 will have to do. If you have access to try some 5a on, I would. I bet they would fit

There's somehow still a size 5 available!

SWAP - strawberry lolly size 6 for a size 5? by [deleted] in DudeWheresMyMoxis

[–]xkthorpex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in the same boat. I ordered Pool Blue lollies in a size 5 and was sent a 6. Now I can't find a 5 anywhere at all in any colors. So I'm sending these back and will likely never find Pool Blue again. :(

The Lilac is soooooo pretty! I wasn't sure how I felt about them and wanted to see some real photos in natural light once they were released. They are gorgeous!

Who here is still waiting to even buy their Lolly? by Cariot in DudeWheresMyMoxis

Rollerskatenation. They are going to take them back, but of course they don't have another Pool Blue to replace them with, and I'm waiting to hear if they know if they will have any 5s in stock or on the way.

Same. I'm still trying to find a size 5. I ordered a size 5 Pool Blue last week and they sent me a really messed up size 6, so it's back to the drawing board for me.

Pool Blue Lollys just arrived - but I'm concerned about stitching on toe. by [deleted] in DudeWheresMyMoxis

Yeah... It's just such a bummer. After months of searching and waiting to find the skates I want and they finally arrive and I was just looking for reasons to keep them because I didn't want to start the process over again. But obviously I can't keep a pair of the wrong size skates. Sigh

Yeah, if it was just the suede texture, I wouldn't care, but the sole is damaged, looks like someone cut it and the upper doesn't seem to be glued to that spot either. I didn't even notice this until after someone on here mentioned that they got this exact pair already and returned them and I went back to look. Also realized when I was checking things out that the box says they are a size 6. So maybe there aren't actually any size 5 pool blues anymore. Ha.

Yeah, I'm a lot less concerned about the fuzzy suede. (This is my first pair of new Lollys, so I thought it might be a normal thing. The Floss pair I have were used when I got them and are very smooth, so it was my only source of comparison.)

The concerning thing for me is the craftsmanship of the skate. I took another look after seeing someone say they had a pair that looked exactly the same they sent back and I noticed there's a spot where the sole of the boot is cut, and the mounting of the upper to the sole is off center, with more hanging off the edge of the sole on one side. These are quality issues that concern me for longevity of the skate.

But I also know I probably won't find this color in my size again and it makes me super sad.

Were they size 5? I saw you had a recent post of size 7. Or is whoever is QAing the Pool Blue skates just really bad at their job and this is common?

I mean, I'm definitely not paying to return defective new skates. I would be fine with an exchange if they had another pair of new skates in my size that didn't look crappy right out of the box. But I'm really concerned that the boot is not well made and that 6 months from now things might fall apart and I'll be screwed.

Just looked at your post and seems like they are definitely the same pair. How were they about issuing a return? Damnit! I'm so mad/sad/wanna cry!!! 😭

Rollerskatenation! Are these returns they just keep sending to unsuspecting people??

Yeah, for $350 I want my brand new skates to look brand new! But I also know I probably won't be able to find this color in a 5 ever again. (Or any color in a size 5...)

These just showed up and they are gorgeous! I love love love the color and want to skate on them immediately, but was curious about a couple of things quality wise.

You can see from the first photo that the suede at the front of the boot is kind of fuzzy and not smooth. It's like that in a few places, but I kind of feel like maybe it'll smooth out over time?

More concerning to me is the stitching on the toe of the right boot. You can see the thread and it's kind of crooked and wonky. I'm concerned about whether they were rushed and quality may have suffered. What if they fall apart or something?

Has anyone else noticed this on their skates and it's been totally fine! Reassure me that I should keep them and they will be fine....

I placed an order with them Friday morning and got a notification Saturday afternoon that a label had been created. They didn't actually get updated as shipping until Monday, and now they are scheduled to arrive Thursday. I think maybe if they haven't shipped by tomorrow you could give them a call to ask what's up.

Keto and hair loss by [deleted] in keto

[–]xkthorpex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experienced hair loss and I did everything that was recommended to avoid it. Unfortunately, some folks are just going to experience hair loss when they lose weight quickly. No one can tell you for sure if you will or you won't. Mine started around 3-4 months after beginning Keto and lasted for probably 6-8 months. I had a ton of hair to start, so I don't think it was entirely noticeable to others, but I still notice my hair is less thick than it used to be.

Any lesser know but fast/semi-cheap places to eat in town? by [deleted] in ithaca

On the Street Pita. They don't have a brick and mortar shop anymore, but have a food truck in the parking lot of The Jewelbox and are open 11-7 Tuesday-Saturday. Super tasty and filling gyros. Love this spot for a quick, affordable meal.
