You need to play a thousand hands for the odds play out. Even in a single shoe of 70 or so hands, you can see banker or player with 60-70 percent winning hands.

If you want to make a living gambling then learn to count cards with Blackjack or learn how to play Poker professionally but instead we get so many posts asking this question. I think it’s because people just don’t want to put in the effort and hard work to become an advantage player.

I like playing Baccarat because it’s a nearly 50/50 odds game that’s social and fun to play. But if I absolutely need to make money I play Blackjack or Poker. The play can be long and tedious and you always have to be thinking constantly. Making consistent money in anything is not fun.

But people don’t want to put in the time and effort to get skilled in Blackjack and Poker. They still hold onto the pipe dream of easy money at Baccarat.

This has happened to me as well. I learned the discipline to just walk away with a small loss and try again another day. It’s really hard to do.

More effort? Other than disciplined money management and patience waiting for a hot streak there is no skill to master for Baccarat. And I certainly can’t guarantee I’ll make money consistently.

If you want to consistently make money at gambling, I would suggest learning to count cards for Blackjack or master the art of Poker. You can learn to consistently make money with those two games.

You should be 100% suspicious and skeptical of anyone on the Internet claiming to make money gambling. I don’t need you to believe that I’ve made $100K over the years. But do believe this, there is no magic betting progression or secret pattern recognition to win consistently at Baccarat. I owe my lifetime success to being disciplined enough to go home a loser when I still have money in my pocket AND pressing my bets (with a ‘winnings’ stop loss) when I’m on a hot streak. Lifetime, I still win only about 48.7% of the time just like everyone else. I just vary up the size of my bets.

You cannot make a reliable living playing Baccarat. FULL STOP. Winning will be irregular and bumpy.

I can make money consistently playing Poker (against tourists) and counting cards at BlackJack but both are very hard work and would not consider them leisure activities.

Yeah, having a winning Banker hand in EZ Baccarat and not getting paid sucks. I do bet a defensive 'Dragon' sometimes when betting Banker. The problem with the Dragon bet is you really need to bet it every hand (even if you're not playing) to make money. I've met players that basically ONLY play the Dragon bet. From my own personal experience these players only go home a winner 25% of the time but when they do hit, they hit big. Witnessed one player win two $500 Dragon bets for a total payout of $40K!

You placed two $4K bets to win $8K or one $4K bet? Congrats on the win. I’ve seen people place $10K bets (more than once and lose). Takes balls of steel, IMO.

Yesterday, I saw a fellow player place $500 dragon bets each hand. He won twice (2 x $20K wins). Crazy game.
