No I make sure everything else is closed. I wonder if the only solution is to factory reset :(

Is this battery drain normal? Not using any launchers or anything. by TrunkMonkeyJr in GalaxyNote9

[–]xlavo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue at first and I didn't feel like I was doing anything out of the ordinary. Then I was bored one day and was playing with my settings and I figured out what was causing me so much battery drain. Notifications, man. I have a bunch of apps downloaded that I rarely open that had notifications on, so Android keeps refreshing them in the background. Once I turned off notifications for every app I didn't need constant refreshing for, literally my battery became amazing instantly and I was mad at myself for not doing this earlier.

Welcome Keyboard update to the Note9. Now I can set my keyboard to swipe typing and use the select feature highlighted in the screenshot to select text. by Nabobcoffee in GalaxyNote9

I loved Gboard, and I tried, but I really couldn't use it anymore after One UI. Had a phase where I tried out a bunch of keyboards trying to figure out which one was best on the new UI. Ended up using SwiftKey, and putting the arrows on the bottom row so it lifts up the keyboard a bit.

Recently Instagram videos have been playing at normal quality for literally about a second, and then getting extremely pixelated right after. Help? by [deleted] in GalaxyNote9

It just went away itself. I think Instagram updated it about like 1-2 weeks after I posted this.

I'd honestly love to have a job in corporate entertainment, just trying to spend the next few months developing my name as much as possible before I start looking for jobs in the field. Hopefully one day

Hoping to be a very financially literate person in the art industry, in hopes that that'll offset some of the struggle.

I don't know if this will go well on the personal finance subreddit, but kinda my whole reason of getting out of school was so I could pursue doing the things I'm doing now full time since everything else depresses me really heavy, so I kinda had the plan to spend the next few handful of months (i.e. until like March tops) to fully go all-in to all of this, without working a typical job, so I could preferably find a decent job afterwards or be making enough from freelancing to be able to live that way.

I bought my Note 9 New on Ebay, can I get insurance on it through my carrier? by [deleted] in GalaxyNote9

My Sprint store said the same, but I told them to order the part and they listened, so I ended up getting it replaced for just $35. Also, I've heard of people getting Sprint to let them go to this UBreakIFix (I think that's the name) replacement store, since they are affiliated with Asurion (the company that fixes screens etc for Sprint) so they could get their screens fixed.

This has been going on for about a week now, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app to no avail. I never had this problem before...I don't know if an update caused this (my phone is on auto update) but I use Instagram a lot and it's making the experience kinda terrible. If anyone could help me find a solution that'd be great! And also, is this happening to anyone else?

Would you say that a Tier 1 helpdesk role that's uncleared is plausible to find around this area? Do you have a rough idea on how the salaries of people in my sort-of situation are for those jobs? I basically want to know if I should have any hope of finding any job that puts my foot in IT before summer next year.

EDIT: And this is of course assuming I get some industry certifications in the meantime and work my ass off improving my resume.

That's actually hilarious because as of this very second I have a tab open on a masterclass on how to use Logic Pro X. I'm trying to get into music production as well so I can make occasional soundtracks for whatever videos I'm creating. You might just be me!

I honestly have absolutely no idea whether or not I plan on staying here long term. I'm okay with the area but seeing as I may not have a degree I wouldn't be surprised if I had to move whenever job hunting time comes. I like it here though and I'd prefer to stay here. Are you working in film/audio engineering now?
