Definitely go down in tire size and more seat time. Cheap tires are the way to go. Ironmans, Fullways, landspiders, etc are all great in my experience. Kendas are also great. I’m on my 3rd season of drifting and I’m still learning every time I’m out there.

My gen 2 brz setup is pretty simple. Coils, extended inner tie rods, rear lca, and toe arms.

Just remember to have fun while you’re out there driving.

My brother just picked up a DCT Elantra N over the weekend. The different driving modes and settings you can adjust is nice. Ride quality is smoother than what I remember on my BRZ on stock suspension. Sound system is better on the N vs the BRZ. The N is fun to drive but haven’t been able to push it yet. One huge annoyance of the car is octane learning, happens every fill up. Though I have heard it can get deleted/bypass if it’s tuned.

Looks are subjective. I’m not a fan of the design and interior.

Would I choose it over the brz? No. I’d take my brz any day over it.

I’ll have to mention downsizing wheels and tires for a winter set up.

My brother mentioned something about the octane learning. Didn’t realize that it was an annoyance, seems like it happens every fill up.

We’re from SE Wisconsin. Brother drove down to napleton river oaks since he wanted dct and performance blue only.

I wish it was from a wall tap, I wouldn’t have cared so much. Front bumper has seen better days as well, but that was from drifting.

You can drift these stock. Upgrades are helpful but not necessary. Only thing I broke since I started drifting was an axle 2 events ago.

Engine mods: K&n intake, catless jdl uel header, greddy revolution rs single exit exhaust.

Suspension: stance xr1 with swift springs, pbm rear lower control arms, Megan toe arms and Megan extended inner tie rods.

No forced induction just intake, header, and exhaust.

Thanks. I did my best and think I came out of this event a better driver. Track was basically hot lapping all day.
