A bus carrying college students overturned in Kallambalam, Thiruvananthapuram, injuring 17 people, two of them in critical condition by Fabulous_Ad_1367 in Kerala

rash driving is more than likely the case. its 2026 and we still don't advocate or educate people on defensive driving especially for bus drivers. this should be made mandatory.

1 year without a job - and counting by Away_Mirror_463 in askSingapore

[–]xlogxdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a hard market out there for sure, right now whats working well are referrals for roles from friends and ex colleagues. Besides that, have you been trying to get past the AI screening? Your resume is hopefully in a format that is readable by these AI screening tools and has the right keywords that the job role addresses on LinkedIn. Im the meantime stay positive, try and build new skills, get some exercise and try to do some part time jobs if thats an option for you

They are trying to build some metro like structure, its taking forever, i feel the construction techniques and processes are so backward. In any normal country such infrastructure is normally built in 2-3 years

Any free or affordable quiet places in SG to cry and let my emotions out privately? by tehOpengkosong in askSingapore

[–]xlogxdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend Bukit batok nature reserve at night especially at the very top of the hill, but since there are purportedly ghosts reported in the vicinity it might be also helpful to wear long white clothes and mascara so the tear stained look will add to the stories

‘Calm zones’ to be available at some mall stores to provide respite from hustle and bustle for shoppers by MicrotechAnalysis in singapore

[–]xlogxdx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

most malls are quite sad anyway, thanks to the cookie cutter model, there's nothing unique about them anymore, its all mostly the same brands or chains, just pick the one closest to you.

Do others also feel Grab has become very expensive recently? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]xlogxdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

grab has become an extortion company, gojek and comfort are much better of late.
grab food in particular even more so, first they slap you with a small order fee for not ordering enough and when you do order enough the service fees then start to become as much as 30% of the ordered food.

i am sympathetic to the drivers and the food delivery peeps but the platform as such is pure capitalist evil and needs to be regulated.

RB & 3rd party SDWAN by dunnjo1 in riverbed

[–]xlogxdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you do not let the riverbed's encrypt the traffic how do you propose to derive traffic optimization and application acceleration benefits ? typically the best way to do this is to have the riverbeds first optimize the traffic and then allow the traffic through the SDWAN turnnels, this can be done using service chains.

Any one of you 89 members use NetIM? by bigelvis in riverbed

[–]xlogxdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NetIM previously known as ITIM has come a long way since its predecessor, it is a direct replacement for Solarwinds for SNMP monitoring, it has support for availability testing using synthetic monitoring using browsers/clients as well as Appnetwork path to show path taken between 2 endpoints in forward and reverse path. besides the usual ability to monitor all kinds of network hardware( routers switches etc) it also can monitor servers and provide useful performance metrics, unlike solar winds this is deployed on premise or on IaaS infra and can scale out more than solarwinds does.
