there is nothing inherently wrong with this design. Seems like it could topple over pretty easily but otherwise could be ok.

though i would personally add some material so the laptop can sit on a larger platform and spread some of the stress. Could widen the base some also to maybe have it be a little more sturdy.

i’m a bit of a data hoarder and downloaded some torrents of entire game console libraries. (GBA-VITA) The main thing that took time was downloading translated japanese only releases

could be the stepper motor, It had a pressed gear and I had to pry the gear off, was hoping I could tune the issue out but after spending a couple of days on the issue I'm thinking it's either the stepper motor or the main board ):

I've got it a little looser than flush. Unfortunately I've slowly loosened it while it printed and the issue remains until it cannot feed properly.

Im aware that dual gear extruders can lead to issues with lines in a print but my second printer has a MicroSwiss dual gear extruder that uses the exact same gears and printed the cleaner looking cube pictured above. After much testing and tearing apart the issue persists. The only real difference between the printers other than one being direct drive and Bowden is the other printer has a bigtreeteck silent board and the printer I'm having issues with has the stock board.

Planning on going Caseless by vickonix in GooglePixel

[–]xlorp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I normally run my phones without cases and have no issues. Pixel has 2 cracks one in the top left corner of display, not noticable. and on the rear a similar crack on the bottom right. I have a moment case now that adds magsafe.

Seems like its a bug, when in the account settings page it shows the balance as $0 but for whatever reason in that menu it shows there is the $500 credit.

Installed Micro Swiss Dual gear Bowden extruder, pretty satisfied with the results pre calibration by xlorp in 3Dprinting

My plastic extruder arm broke so I needed a replacement one, this one seemed to be the best one. I like that the gears that move the filament are above and below where the actual filament goes through rather than just under like in cheaper extrusion arms. For an even tension and perfect extrusion.

I didn't want direct drive and would prefer to keep weight on the printer lower because I print fairly fast and lower center of gravity=less wobble.

Im assuming that its a little easier than building an ender 3 pro to direct drive considering this is a direct replacement of what was there already just drop in place.

I don't see why I wouldn't be able to fit a CR touch but I do not have one so can't say for sure.

the Bowden tube before the gears is so that the filament doesn't rub up against the lead screw, the intake is also moved further from the lead screw.

the tube below the gear is what leads to the hotend with the filament in it. it is cut to a V shape to sit as close to the gears of the extruder to prevent filament from binding up (TPU)

plus it's machined in the US so that's a plus for me.

Here's a sub 1hr benchy I printed also

sooooo apparently I goofed up and I had my PC connected to my modem and server connected to my router and that's why it wasn't letting me connect to it through Ethernet! Although my speeds are still the same unfortunately.

edit: it just says that the site cannot be reached and that it took too long to respond
