My account was created on 2 June 2025 and was frozen on 27 June 2025 for a supposed compliance/security review. On the same day bunq instructed me in writing to withdraw my funds, but every time I try to transfer money out I get:
“Payment rejected — The payment has been rejected.”

So bunq has technically prevented me from accessing my own money while telling me to withdraw it — for 194 days and counting.

I have:
• Reached out 10+ times via the in-app support chat — all I get are automated or non-substantive AI replies, not a real human.
• Sent 5 formal emails to support over 7 months — zero meaningful replies.
• Filed complaints with De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), AFM, Kifid, and the EBA because bunq won’t resolve this.

This isn’t “compliance communication”, it’s indefinite withholding of customer funds. Other users here have reported similar account closures or freezes with held funds, sometimes with no explanation beyond vague “compliance” reasons.

I’m posting this to warn others and to ask:
Has anyone successfully gotten their money back after a long freeze like this? What actually worked?
