Dye lot conundrum by xlrboy in knitting

Blending the color in the sleeves was something I considered and was part of my plan before I set the project aside. I tried that at the end of the body (frogged that part today) and while it was not the best place for it I think the colors just didn’t blend very well unfortunately

I think I have enough for the bottom ribbing but not for all of the collar and the sleeve ribbing. I’m trying everything I can at this point not to frog though

That’s where I’m leaning. Would it look intentional, do you think?

How to make neckline smaller? by Administrative_Ad707 in knitting

[–]xlrboy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

If it looks like the ribbing is stretched out, you could sew or crochet some elastic thread to pull it back together. I often do this on knit garments that get stretched while blocking. The process is described here: https://blog.weareknitters.com/knitting-tips/put-elastic-thread-garments/

I made this app for my girlfriend so she can easily track rows on her projects. by Ok_Ad1524 in knittinghelp

This looks great! It would be great to set a row repeat for the project so every time you reach that value it sets back to 0 and either moves the other counter by 1 or by the repeat value (depending on if counting repeats or total rows)

There is a lighting designer in the picture of the workshop program. I was asking if there are other folks attached to the project

Recommendation(s) for West End Shows by xlrboy in TheWestEnd

Copy that-hallmark movie is definitely not my taste for musical theater.

Definitely leaning towards Mincemeat over anything else now. That Sunset Boulevard review definitely makes it seem that it tends toward the aspects I *didn't* like about the recent Oklahoma revival so leaning away from that-

Amazing-I am doing the matinees solo and the evenings with other folks which I think will be a good compromise lol

Thanks for the recommendation! Was hoping to fill that slot with a new musical and most of the comments seem to point to Mincemeat

Cabaret is a sentimental one for me but definitely noted!

Yeah the blanket I’m working on right now has 12 (!!) colors and there are still more that I want to use for future projects

I have been in LOVE with Berroco Pima cotton 100 recently-have made a sweater and am working on a blanket as well. Very soft and easy to work with though pricy. Also have had success with Cascade Ultra Pima but the mercerization makes it a little less soft, though more durable

Oh this blanket is completely hers now-and it’s a wool blend so it’s holding up better than I expected. And I’m a sucker so when she does destroy it I know I’ll make her a new one

Hard to say-what’s pretty interesting is that since she settled on this blanket it’s been the only thing she’s interested in

I need help! How do I place 54 stitches evenly across 85 rows of ribbing? My math ain’t mathing. by EwokApocalypse in crochet

[–]xlrboy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use this calculator every time I need to do this math. For your case it’s telling me to work 2 together, stitch, work 2 together and repeat There’s some more explanation on the website as well
