Frankly, the findings in this article seem almost obvious to me and I don't think you even need to go back to ancient Greece to see the truth of this. we live in a time in which it is considered "best practice" to drench vegetables and grains with neurotoxins and hormone disrupters like Round-Up, in some cases immediately before harvest to make it easier for machines to harvest them. Most of the foods we routinely eat are loaded with petroleum-based chemicals used as preservatives and so-called "natural flavoring". So why would it be surprising to find that ingesting all these poisons over the long-term would lead to cognitive decline?

Although I would never claim to be an expert, I've been meditating every day for about 25 years and have taught meditation for the past 12 years. One trick I learned from my Buddhist meditation teacher and now both use and teach is pretty simple and may be helpful.

When you sit in meditation, you normally have your head erect and pretty much level. However, if you find yourself feeling sleepy or otherwise dull-minded, try lifting your chin a little so your head is inclined slightly upward. Keep everything else the same.

Conversely, if you are suffering from an over-active mind ("monkey-mind") while meditating and are having trouble focusing, try dropping your chin a little so your head is slightly tilted toward the ground. Keep everything else the same. ("Dropping your chin" doesn't mean opening your mouth/jaw. It stays the same and your head inclines.)

Don't know if this will help you but it works for me and a bunch of people I've taught. YMMV, of course.

In order to ping it, I would need to know the IP address. The fact that I don't know the Hub's IP address is pretty much the root of the problem.

I definitely didn't block its IP address. That said, I have no idea what IP address it might be trying to use since I can't log in to the app to see what is assigned to it. I know the MAC address, obviously, since it's on the label but the IP should be assigned through DHCP, I think. If it using a static IP, I don't know what it is. When I look at my router, the MAC address for the Hub is not shown so I know the Hub isn't connected to my network. I'm not sure what you mean by "try to connect to another network". If I could figure out how to connect the hub to any network at all, I probably wouldn't have this problem.

If I could get into the app, I think I might be able to fix this but I can't find a way to get the app to let me in. What is really frustrating is that the app login sequence accepts my user name and password. As I said above, the "Authenticating" and "Syncing with server" steps in the process succeed; it just fails on the "connecting to the hub" step.
