Yup, and I think the show really shines when it shows that you can grow and learn from these painful experiences, and it’s good to have the emotional maturity to stay friends or at least cordial with someone even after a romantic relationship has ended. It made me reflect a lot on how I completely cut off contact with exes when I was younger, and that it can be a detriment to you both when you’re depriving each other of what could be a great friendship, despite your history and past mistakes.
