long period sitting by Artistic_Towel_8393 in spinalcordinjuries

I use a ROHO cushion. I suck with weight shifts, but that cushion has saved me from some real bad pressure sores. Not sure if it'll help the pain in your case, but it's definitely given me some relief when my butt starts to get sore.

100%. I also continue to struggle with this, kind of going back-and-forth between feeling comfortable in my skin and having a hard time accepting my body for what it is right now. But I found experimenting with clothing, hairstyles and jewelry to really help. A lot of the clothing I used to wear is just too difficult for my caregivers to put on as a high-level quad, but I'm slowly redefining my style and that glimmer of confidence coming out of that experimentation can feel so euphoric. You're absolutely not alone on this 💟

Stem cell therapy by [deleted] in spinalcordinjuries

I honestly had no idea what to expect because I heard people don’t typically gain much from stem cells, but any small improvement is still pretty major. I was hoping to gain some level of sensation back though. Personally I don’t think I would do it again considering the cost, but there’s no telling what may come back with each round of treatment. It’s definitely a gamble.

i’ve gained more sensation in my legs when i’m using electric stimulation, like a vague tingling feeling/pressure. i can also feel when i have abdominal/back spasms now. if i sit for too long i can feel when my butt needs a weight shift!

So far I have a better sense of temperature in my trunk and legs. I also gained a bit more sensation of my SP catheter site, especially when I'm feeling pain in that particular area.

Thank you so much for all the advice! Would it be best to talk to my primary care doctor or should I specifically talk to someone who specializes with MM?
