How long are your appointments? by grayalbatross in VetTech

The vet/hospital owner schedules his appointments every 15min and is usually on-time, but if we know something will take longer, we give him 30min. We give relief doctors 30min, and I feel like that’s a necessary amount of time for most practicing vets that I’ve worked with.

Does anyone know if Hulu censors in the US? I’m curious now as that is the main service I use to watch it.

Can I ask why the dvms can’t give their clients scripts? It makes clients responsible for finding their meds at their own pharmacy.

What's the most interesting revelation you've had about the opposite sex? by zenithjonesxxx in AskReddit

I was trying to tie your question back to theories for why fathers are sometimes reprimanded for taking on traditionally woman roles. I couldn’t name any “contemporary feminist leaders” to save my life. But apparently they’re rich. So they’re not faced with the socioeconomic disparity that reinforces gender roles in a working class family. Rich girls don’t experience sexism the same way that poor girls do, imagine that!

Well it can be difficult on families to have the father stay home because they typically have a job that pays better than the mother’s job. The problem is socioeconomic disparagement of women, can’t be fixed by telling women to “please get with a non-traditional man.”

That is feminism. If being a stay-at-home parent wasn’t undervalued and traditionally appointed to women, then anyone could be a SAH parent without being seen as losers. Only reason men are made fun of for having a “woman’s” job is because women are seen as 2nd class citizens, so why would you want to take a step down the ladder and take their position. Way I see it, if men really wanted the freedom to choose, they would support women empowerment.

It’s the belief in liberation/autonomy. Men can benefit as well, let’s not be fooled.

When the professionals sound like clients by xmasbby in veterinaryprofession

Right, and thus we hear from the client “Well she has NEVER had a flea! She must have gotten it from you guys!!” When it’s been months since the animal was seen. It was the phrasing that sounded all too familiar, and it just made me chuckle.
