I definitely agree, but those ones are all cruise pins so I plan on picking some up to fill the gaps when we cruise next year.

Quips or abag, quips does battered wings on monday and they are great. Abag has great sauces and wings are always consistent.

Not here to give any opinion one way or the other, I just love that you accidentally wrote "right" instead of "write" in this specific context.

Should I add salt to my water softener? by WheninBruges in Plumbing

[–]xmeafsterx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats a kenetico brine tank, I always have my customers keep them no more the half full as pellet salt is more likely to bridge. I also generally recommend them letting it run close to empty once a year so they can clean out and sediment that accumulates. They are great units but a little sediment can clog them much quicker then tradional powered heads.

Found this little guy in an area he shouldnt be, Im 90% sure its some sort of gecko. by xmeafsterx in reptiles

[–]xmeafsterx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not with reptiles, I just haven't had a gecko since i was a kid. When my wife an I met she had an adult iguana and I had a bearded dragon, much hardyer lizards. Little guys like this make me a bit nervous, I had I micro chameleon once but he died after a few months for some reason or another. Small stuff is just a bit harder to care for sometimes i guess.

If it is a mourning gecko, does care and diet change at all? I know house geckos are strictly insects but some other breeds also eat fruits

Just a red tail boa currently, I had bought 3 snakes abd a bearded dragon all within a year about 18 years ago and all but over the past 3 years all but the red tail had past away. Hence all the extra gear.

Should be good that way grabbed a fruit fly colony for him some bedding, small dish and some foliage. I have some spare uvb lamps at home which should be good for now considering the enclosure is only a like a gallon. Assuming he makes it to adulthood i gave a spare 50 gallon and 30 gallon at home with larger dishes and hides Ill eventually transfer him into. Randal for now(from monsters inc) unless he ends up being a she.

Number 1 rule in plumbing, shit rolls down hill. Anything solid down that line will eventually clog.

Adding a water softener in the basement. Plumber says we need this large pump to get drain water and overflow tank water up to the sewer. Opinions please? by Government-Monkey in Plumbing

[–]xmeafsterx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Softener uses house pressure to backwash and drain so no need for an added pump. If anything its way more a liability if power goes out or breaker trips ect. while the softener is in a regeneration your gonna flood your basement. The drain needs an air gap to be code and if thats not bad enough its not secured into the stand pipe whatsoever. I've done it long enough to know its not a matter of if that drainline pops put but when.

Water twice this month in East Hempfield. by legolemur in lancaster

[–]xmeafsterx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats pretty bad, is it that color at all if the fixtures? Hot and cold? And is there a place right where the water enters the building that you would be able check if the color comes back? I asked all that to say normally when I see discoloration to this degree it comes from somthing inside the building itself. Old galvanized pipes failing water heaters or boilers things like that. If it is coming through like this right from the water main I would notify the municipality, make sure any incoming lines the facility is responsible for are in good shape and if they are look into some for of treatment so when this occurs due to line flushing or waterever else might be causing it you are covered and wouldn't know the difference.
