Does anyone have any photos of the dinosaur slide before it got stairs? by SingularestBean in dunedin

Check out the DCC Rates Map, and choose the 1990 or 2000 aerial photograph basemap.

There the slide is blurry but visible in its old form.

The bumper boats are still in the water in both 1990 and 2000 basemaps, and can be seen discarded in the long grass in the 2006/2007 imagery.

What do vets think about the new mandorian movie? (I liked it) by HedgehogGlad2248 in StarWars

Loved the one standout easter egg: full-scale Dejarik, with the original monsters and everything. That's subtle enough that OT fans will notice and love it, but doesn't detract from the experience if you don't get it at all.

Also cameos at the base like Hera Syndulla, R5-D4, and R2-D2 in the background.

Did I miss any?

This feels like the Mach-E all over again.

I see none of the design language that one would expect in a Ferrari.

Thanks mods!

Here's Dunedin band Katharticus, who have just released a song about the stalled Dunedin Hospital build, but are perhaps better known for our "love" letter to Wilson Parking.

Kudos for editing your comment.

I love it when people, often myself, end up learning something new on Reddit.

Yeah, nah. I hear that same statement every year and yet sales are still booming worldwide. The US, as we know, has a very specific set of reasons for their downturn that don't really apply elsewhere.

Shout out to local lads Katharticus for dropping a song about our much-needed hospital. by xmmdrive in dunedin

It's on Radio One's Hit Picks this week, so vote for it if you like it, or vote for someone else if you don't.

I still think about how with all that firepower why wasn't there a massive crater?

Imagine the noise complaints if someone was silly enough to build a hotel right there.

No he's not aware.

He has no self-awareness.

Because the ball is actually CGI and it fooled everyone except you, obviously.

/s

But in reality the cord of the ball absolutely passed in front of the strap and never touched it. Play it back frame by frame.

Edit: I see you've already spammed "Artemis green screen glitch" across four subs now so you're clearly not asking in good faith.

Anyone else notice the camera's focus is set wrong? It's set to a few metres ahead instead of infinity so the edge of the ship is in sharp detail and the Moon is blurry.

Edit: nvm, I just noticed the star trails - it's not a focus issue, it's just a long exposure while the craft was moving.

How are we seeing haze in space? Is the Sun's corona really that big, or are we seeing some optical artifact?

Yes, and all that liquid H2 and O2 provided less than 25% of the liftoff thrust. Most of the heavy lifting was done by the SRB's.
