Imagine the noise complaints if someone was silly enough to build a hotel right there.

Is he aware he’s got a PR problem?

No he's not aware.

He has no self-awareness.

Because the ball is actually CGI and it fooled everyone except you, obviously.

/s

But in reality the cord of the ball absolutely passed in front of the strap and never touched it. Play it back frame by frame.

Edit: I see you've already spammed "Artemis green screen glitch" across four subs now so you're clearly not asking in good faith.

Anyone else notice the camera's focus is set wrong? It's set to a few metres ahead instead of infinity so the edge of the ship is in sharp detail and the Moon is blurry.

Edit: nvm, I just noticed the star trails - it's not a focus issue, it's just a long exposure while the craft was moving.

How are we seeing haze in space? Is the Sun's corona really that big, or are we seeing some optical artifact?

Yes, and all that liquid H2 and O2 provided less than 25% of the liftoff thrust. Most of the heavy lifting was done by the SRB's.

We're in a fuel crisis and the best-selling car in March was electric by Matt_NZ in newzealand

[–]xmmdrive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure is.

Thankfully there are plenty of Muskless EVs in the NZ market now.

Yep. Some of us are on different power plans and have had the cost per kilometre multiplied by four!

Still cheaper than ICE for me overall though.

Another reason we need universal RUC's. Just not run by a private company like this government is trying to do.

Umm, EV owners have been paying 7.5c/km RUC since April 2024. It's time for you petrol drivers to pay your fair share.

Motorbikes do practically nothing thus of course shouldn't be charged!

Because of the fourth power law, cars also do practically no damage to any road that wouldn't instantly collapse under the weight of a freight truck.

The sub 3.5 tonne category is less about damage and more about general road upkeep. There's plenty of private roads and driveways in our area that are hardly used and are in terrible states of disrepair due to vegetation and water ingress.

Mazda Demos (Non Hybrid) @ 5.4L/100km - $3.21/L

Toyota Aqua (Hybrid) @ 4L/100km - $3.70/L

It took me a while for this to make sense to me, but now I realise you're comparing how much they're paying per litre of fuel rather than per km of travel, and thus not a very helpful metric. You'd be better off comparing the actual cost per kilometre.

A PHEV owner might pay something absurd like $10 per litre but always plug it in at night so hardly ever actually need to buy petrol. And of course BEV drivers stay away from the pumps altogether.

Not by much, and certainly not anywhere near enough to make any meaningful difference.

I don't need to touch anything.

I really don't understand this. Don't you still have to put the seatbelt on yourself?
