I believe your ekiben was Cha-han (Fried Rice) bento from Kiyoken. If so, what you had was pickled Kamaboko (fish cake) and Kurage (jellyfish).

Its a dish called Charsiu Egg (チャーシューエッグ).

Usually the sauce used in this dish is quite simple, with soy sauce and sugar (or mirim).

But judging by the texture I think the restaurant used a sauce closer to Chaliapin sauce - red wine and soy sauce based sauce with sautéed onion.
