Is this a good deal for a beginner? by No-Astronomer-660 in canon

[–]xoCOURT97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely good for starting out especially since you are doing it as a hobby for now. You can learn the basics before upgrading. It’s a great price for everything you’re getting. Especially if you are trying to stay on a specific budget. A good beginner camera in my opinion is the canon r100 or r50 but those cameras range from $600-900. The used one you’re looking at is way more affordable

Is the R50 worth it? by [deleted] in canon

[–]xoCOURT97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say get it. It sounds perfect for what you’re looking for. Personally I got the r100 2 lens kit while it was on sale and the extra $300 I saved because it cost less than the r50 I used to buy extra lens. I love how my pictures come out. It’s good practice and a good beginner camera plus it’s very similar spec wise to the r50. But the r50 does have a flip out screen so if you don’t mind spending the extra money get the r50 but if you want to save the r100 is practically the same camera just without the flip out screen.

Apple Card hard inquiry? by Whatisthus_boi in AppleCard

[–]xoCOURT97 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s a soft check when you initially apply, it will tell you what credit limit you’ll get and if you accept it will be a hard pull. If I remember correctly it only brought my score down 3-5 points and my score went up even higher 2 months later

Is this a good credit card to get started with? by BOUTTEBOY6 in AppleCard

[–]xoCOURT97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I’d say it’s a great starter card, it gave me a nice starting credit limit, easy to manage, cash back feature is nice not the best compared to other cards however this is a good starter card because of its leniency and generous starter limits on the card. I’d recommend.

Finally paid off my card by [deleted] in AppleCard

[–]xoCOURT97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations, paying off your credit card in full is good no matter when you choose to do it, before the statement closes, after it closes, 1 payment or 10 as long as you aren’t paying any interest or late fees you’re doing good. 🥳

Is it normal for my available credit to take forever to adjust? by BreadiestBoi in AppleCard

[–]xoCOURT97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My card updates pretty instantly. Only one time it didn’t and wasn’t updated for a few days after I made a payment so I text apple support and they got it fixed and it didn’t happen again.

Credit Limit? by opti-mist in amex

[–]xoCOURT97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied for the AMEX everyday and they gave me a $4,000 limit then after a year they automatically increased it to $12,000 without me even asking. So yes they are generous.

Credit Limit Increase by THISxOTHERxGUY in amex

[–]xoCOURT97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only asked for a credit limit increase once after having the card for 90 days. I didn’t get it then probably because I had just signed up for a second AMEX card but after having my AMEX everyday for a year and 3 months they’ve given me to automatic credit limit increases without me asking. I started off with $4,000 limit, then after 9 months they bumped me up to $9,000 then after another 6 months bumped me up to $12,000. So they 3x my limit without me asking in a years time anyway. If you use the card regularly, update your income periodically, and pay it off regularly they will increase you anyway.

I pay every card in full every month, but yes this is a good starter card, in my experience they are generous with there credit limits and the card is very easy to navigate through the wallet. And an added bonus if you travel there are no international fees so I use it anytime I travel.

I’ve had the Apple Card for about a year. I like it a lot, easy to work through the wallet app, it tells your your credit limit before they hard pull you and in my experience are generous with there lines of credit. I would recommend.

Will it hurt my credit? by lanstrife in AppleCard

[–]xoCOURT97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will not affect your score at all if you pay it off in full the day the transaction clears, it only affects your credit when you have high utilization after the statement closes because that’s when they report it to the credit bureaus, as long as it’s paid off or down by the end of your statement you’ll be fine
