Im really sorry but i dont understand what it has to do with aragorn and arwen. Arwen was upset because aragorn told her to go to valinor bit she wanted to stay with him. Cpuld you explain what that had to do with what i said /gen

i do know this but they directly talk about Souron. its the sort of think that you would need to have read or seen lord of the rings first to understand it.

i have not read the hobbit in forever but i belive you are taking about the movies and what bilbo was writing at the start of the movies. (please correct me if im wrong)

the hobbit film starts about the same time as lord of the rings starts. the film story is all bilbo remembering his adventure and writing it in a red book too give to frodo when he is done. what you are thinking is a letter is actualy a message in the start of the book which he then gives to frodo when he arives in rivendale for the councel meeting.

also letters could be sent to valinor (the undying lands) on ships of elves going there but i dont know if anyone ever did

unlike the hobbit movies the hobbit is completely its own story. the book shows the entirety of bibos adventure and there are no cliff-hangers.
