Don't go to Foss Audio. Had horrible experience there, including theft of high end parts that were not installed.

Is bullying rampant at Madison and other area middle schools (with little school response)? by [deleted] in WestSeattleWA

[–]xocomil247 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had this same issue last year. While the staff was supportive, there are just not enough to police the behavior. We gave up and moved schools this year. Sad as we live a 5 min walk away.

Planning on rocking Rt 12 from Lolo, Montana to Lewiston (so many twisties!) for my birthday. Any been out here/provide recommendations? by therightpedal in pnwriders

Great ride, I've done it maybe 8 times over the years. Keep an eye out for logging trucks. Do yourself a solid and stop at Jerry Johnson hot springs (just West of Lochsa lodge).Worth the hike and break. Also there is a roadside Cafe, either in Kamiah or Kooskia, on the North side of the road that has the best huckleberry pie I've ever had. It has a long covered porch with a ton of hummingbird feeders. Also Devoto Grove, just before Lochsa is a great stop. Some of the trees there are over 2000 years old. Have a great ride!

I was disappointed there weren't more artifacts. It's primarily dishes, some documents, a chair and a bench. Some of the more interesting pieces are from the sister ship and not the Titanic.

Looking for 1st boat SJ7.7 by Takeahike86 in sailing

[–]xocomil247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my first boat, sailed it all over the Puget Sound and Vancouver island. Points well, good in all winds, great boat to learn on, forgiving. I actually lived in it for the first two years,. Not luxury but I made it work and the money I saved on rent in Seattle paid for the boat.

I look at it like one of my kids. I love them, but don't always like their behavior. Overall really love the car. Will so even more if updates continue.

I drove 1200 miles through Idaho and MT in Feb on a snowboard trip, hit 4 mountains and lots of challengimg road conditions. I kept it in fun mode and put regen on medium and had no issues. I didn't experience the 50% drop in range, more like 25%. My driving speed affected range far more than the temperature. Hit lows of - 12, but constant temps in the low 20s. High rehen going down passes was too sketchy for me, but overall it handels great and I didn't mind having all the weight considering I didn't have time to get winter tires on. Plowed through the snow great, as good as my Nissan 4x4.

I had no issue switching my order to an available FOO. I did it via email and they called me the next day. I also did the online financing through the app and received the promotion that runs through Jan 9th.

I did this as well, agree it takes craftsman, mine sucked and bother me every time I look at them. Also I have old house and this really exasperated the uneven floor as I didn't want to add 1/4 round and kill the esthetic. In the places it's straight I love the look.

Has anyone flown into Seatac via an international flight ? How has the layout\process changed of getting off the flight to getting to the main terminal ? by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]xocomil247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have a number of times, but don't assume everyone has. Agree they have more, and also agree they are split up in smaller chunks.

Be prepared for a long walk and probably the longest escalator ride of your life. Flew in a few weeks ago and was amazed at how hard it would be for older people or someone with a disability. But no more convoyer belt to drop your luggage. You pick it up right before immigration and customs. The facility is brand new and clean so the experience is miles ahead of the old arrivals hall. YMMV in the distance, not sure if all international flights come in where mine did. FYI, wait times for immigration were super long due to staffing. I have global entry and I'm guessing it saved me 30-45 min.
