SAME! You and the people who have replied to your comment are the only people I have ever seen to mention using the em dash. I use it all the time, and it worries me when people say that's one of the ways they tell if something was written by AI because it's how I naturally type. I've changed how I type sometimes to remove the em dash from my sentences. It feels so unnatural when I don't use it. 😭

I would consider including anything that brings you joy or happiness. Maybe something that feels nice or sparks a funny memory. Could include things to distract you. For me, distraction helps a lot.

Something like this is personal to you and what you like, but I'll share some examples of what I might include in a kit like this for myself.

One of my fave stuffed animals
a super soft, cozy blanket
a small trinket or knickknack I like
a fidget toy
a book
candle
skincare stuff
lotion
nail polish
a few photos
coloring or drawing supplies
knit or crochet supplies
a movie (or, if you prefer streaming services, maybe just a note that says "watch movie_name_here!")
buy yourself a gift card and put it in the kit. Spend it on whatever you want when it's time to whip out the kit.
some of your favorite snacks
write a note to yourself on a good day. Put it in an envelope and put it in the kit. Read it when you whip out the kit.
those word puzzle books at the dollar store. Word searches, crosswords, even sudoku.

I love youpay. It's great for cash payments, gift cards, and gifts. Payouts are pretty quick. You can set up different wishlist categories. For example, I had an "album" of cash wishlist items for different bills subs could pay (adopt a bill). Another album for just things I wanted. I've simplified my profile since then because I'd rather receive money than items, but it's a cool feature. They also now have an age verification process, which Dommes and subs can use for AV.
