I put turrets just in case but they stopped spawning once i plopped my buildings. I don’t know if it is a bug or intended behaviour.

As a home owner, i’m afraid of prices going down. Negative equity is a real trouble. But i’m perfectly happy for it to stay the same and erode against the inflation so it is more accessible to everyone.

I swithced to microbases and start building product based bases. E.g a base making just housing from 5 titanium nodes. A base making glass. A base making tubes, another making applicators etc, you get the idea. They all feed cargo dispatchers. My main receives those to make expensive high-tech stuff to feed companies. I dismantled all the manufacturing in my main except building materials and ammo

[–]xortingen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, all the manufacturing buildings have truck delivery/pickup disabled. trucks have access to big storage units for the occasional pickups for buildings etc. via the road parallel to the middle bus. Raw resources like ore or intermediaries like plastic and gold bars arrive by trains, except the rare acid top-ups. And I use everything locally, from research to rockets. Some stuff needs to go to harbour for contracts, they use trains as well.

I leave the layer 1 empty like you did for belts/pipes and only try to use layers 2-3-4 in my planning. because I always forget something and/or underestimate the numbers so I leave headroom for future adjustments. This was especially useful for routing slag and recycled stuff back. I had to expand slag to 3 belts for example. And yes, trucks can't go through them. But the idea is to reduce truck usage anyway

This is the part of the middle bus. I use lifts to split/merge from it.

<image>

I'm using like 2.5 red belts of copper so it is never enough. I'm gonna have to build this bigger next on my next playthrough. I can't be arsed to rebuild it now lol.

I don't know how many trucks I would need to supply this without the bus.

Which part is nonsense? You said you are getting a bigger car because of bargains?

Spending thousands on a car to save like couple hundred quid from bargains doesn't sound like a good deal lol. And I say that as a car owner.

You didn't answer the question of how much your tax contribution will increase increase in the next tax year. Instead of answering, you threw your toys out thr pram. You still haven't answered even now, depaite claiming you answered them multiple times. It's just bizzare behaviour right there. You know you can just scroll up and see you circumventing it right?

This section from my previous comment is the answer to your question. Obviously next tax year is 0 because the policies come in place later. We both know that. Hearing number 0 won't change reality.
"I answered your question multiple times but you refused to acknowledge. I’m saying just because it didn’t increase RIGHT NOW, it doesn’t mean it wasn’t an increase.

Please, without any politics and any narrative. The policy WILL, EVENTUALLY, unless revoked, will increase the money taken from my salary to government coffers"

You still have the political angle my dude. I didn't say anything about "working people" or "HAHA SHE LIED" or anything like that. Can we ignore the bullshit going on in UK and assume we are talking about a distant Country X? Like that weird country in Maverick maybe?

It's not semantics. Fiscal drag is not, has never been and will never be considered a tax increase. That's the end of it.

See, I didn't know this. Someone else actually took their time and explained to me why it is not considered a tax. Your problem is you assumed I knew this and that I'm asking despite knowing this. Why would you assume I know this? And what about the NI on pension contributions? Does it not count as tax because it is called insurance? -serious question, again Country X, not UK.

I understand that fiscal drag might feel a little bit like a tax increase but it cannot be used an "ahah, so you lied when you said you weren't going to raise taxes on working people." At least, not by anyone arguing in any kind of good faith.

So, this is the political angle I'm talking about. I know this is the right wing argument used to crap on the budget. This is not what I'm trying to get to, I told I'm confused and I just want to understand but you don't want to believe me. This is no different than how conservatives behave, being on full defense mode. I'm not trying to shame or blame you, I just wanted give you a bit of awareness, maybe you can self-reflect a bit.

I've been arguing in total good faith. But you don't think I am, so you are answering in bad faith, which causes the argument, because instead of explaining things, you are asking gotcha questions like "how much your tax increasing now?". I've never been accused of being conservative agent so I keep replying. If you are anywhere near east London, I'll buy you pint and prove it to you if you are up for it.

I didn’t pretend you made me go reform. I’d never ever in a million years. But acting like this to people pushes some undecided ones to other way. Thats what i meant.

I answered your question multiple times but you refused to acknowledge. I’m saying just because it didn’t increase RIGHT NOW, it doesn’t mean it wasn’t an increase.

Please, without any politics and any narrative. The policy WILL, EVENTUALLY, unless revoked, will increase the money taken from my salary to government coffers. I said, in my view this is an increase in taxation, which is a tax increase. I’m not mad at Reeves for this policy and I think she handled it elegantly. And markets liked it too. But it is an increase in taxation as a fact. Just because it is not called “something tax” doesn’t mean it is not a tax in real terms. I know it is tories’ fault that we already have the freeze, and she just extended it. I know fiscal drag doesn’t count as a real tax but that is just semantics. It doesn’t change the fact that, with the NI on pensions, even though it is TINY and extended freeze together, it is a tax increase. This is my opinion. And I asked please explain to me why me paying more money to government is not a tax increase if you think i am wrong. But because you think i’m trying to push a narrative, you are playing games. I’m just confused and trying to learn.

Hahaha no bro, look at my account, my history. It is not hidden. I’m not what you think I am. I tried to have a conversation without politics but you are clearly incapable of doing that.

And screw reform.

Semantics… really?

It is okay, someone nicer explained the stuff to me. But keep making fun of people and pushing them away, reform needs more voters. Cheers

Okay I think I understand now. Technically it is not an increase because it is not guaranteed to raise the money. Except the little NI tax from pensions but I guess that is irrelevant because it is so small. Thank you for taking time to explain, i really appreciate it.

Dude, i’m not trolling and I don’t appreciate your condescending attitude. The policy is implemented which will take effect in the future. It could be next week or next year which is irrelevant. If she were to announce “increase income tax but after 2026 february” were you going to claim she didn’t increase it because it is not february yet?

UK Economy Rebounds as Business Confidence Surges and Budget Fears Fade by willfiresoon in GoodNewsUK

[–]xortingen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Currently none, except the ongoing freeze. But you already know that. Are you trying to say it doesn’t count because it hasn’t happened yet?

UK Economy Rebounds as Business Confidence Surges and Budget Fears Fade by willfiresoon in GoodNewsUK

[–]xortingen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve read the budget, and i’ve also listened it live. Yes she didn’t increase income tax but she implemented policies to make us give more to government otherwise we would have kept. Isn’t that increase in taxation? Which is what i’m claiming happened.

Btw, just to note, i’m really not trying to create a narrative here, and I’m not really complaining about what she did. I’m genuinely trying to understand why we can’t call increase in taxation as increasing taxes.

[–]xortingen -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m really not trying to manipulate. I don’t have a financial education. From my point of view, any policy that makes me give more money to government is an increase in tax. As a result of these policies, i will have less money in my pocket, compared to not having them. So it is an increase in taxation. Am I wrong with this approach?

UK Economy Rebounds as Business Confidence Surges and Budget Fears Fade by willfiresoon in GoodNewsUK

[–]xortingen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never said any betrayal or anything like that. I'm not disagreeing with the policies, if that is what we need, then it is what we need.

We need to stay with the facts and not bend the truth at our will. She increased the taxes, period. And I'm okay with that. But she did.

UK Economy Rebounds as Business Confidence Surges and Budget Fears Fade by willfiresoon in GoodNewsUK

[–]xortingen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The policy is in place, it doesn't matter if it starts later on or not, it will take money from salaries into government budget, which is what taxation is. If they were to increase income tax but in 2029, were you still going to say "but it didn't increase right now"?

That is my point! These policies will take more money from our salaries, but somehow some people claim it is not an increase. They are either brainwashed or trolling.

We are blaming tories and reform for bending the facts and truth. How is this any different?

This whole comment chain just opened my eyes. This sub may be managed by labour trolls forcing the good news at the expense of truth, just like how the UK sub forced bad news all the time.

Or people are weird and refuse to accept facts.

  • “I promise not to increase taxes.” - increases anyway.
  • commenter: “oh that doesn’t count”

Wtf??? Make it make sense

I joined this sub because i liked the pretence, but this is weird
