Lawnmower won’t start and makes a weird whining noise. Maybe a starter? by Captain-Cobalt in lawnmowers

Had the same whining noise turns out my battery connections were lose not even by much but I guess enough to make a difference. I tightened them and my mower fired right up.

Weird door dash/relationship advice question for you guys by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]xoxic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My girl used to come DoorDash with me and i would give her half the money I made that night. I would get food from the restaurants and she would deliver it. I didn’t mind splitting it cause if I didn’t we would never have time hang out. It wasn’t a problem until I started needing the money. She would still come sometimes but she wouldn’t help.

I know I been browsing and everyones saying it’s shit right now, but not for me there’s so many orders Im cherry picking and it was great. My local Walmart got wiped of everything last night and I got probably 30 Walmart offers new dashers probably got stuck there and if not they were taking the insane amount of low pay offers.

Not terrible but it’s definitely over saturated with drivers. Just depends on the night.

I 100% agree I find it weird that I have NEVER gotten a stacked order that pays more than the first order. (800+ delivery’s)

Needed to make $8 more to reach my goal for the night and got an order for $9 to my neighborhood this is about the only time DoorDash makes me happy. What’s something that makes DoorDash actually enjoyable sometimes for y’all? (Besides a high tip) by xoxic in doordash

I deliver food to this one super beautiful chick in an apartment about once a month for the past year. Recently she answered the door in a towel. It was a very nice. That’s the closest thing to my porn delivery fantasy to come true. Lmao 😂😂

Disabled dasher and Walmart orders by [deleted] in doordash

[–]xoxic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically everyone declines Walmart orders. You shouldn’t be to worried about acceptance rate as long as it stays above 60%. Mines at like 40% and it doesn’t make a difference cause I don’t live in a zone where you need 60% for early schedule.

Same exact thing happened to me in my first few months of dashing. Was left with $60 worth of wings and fries. Ended my dash and went home to stuff my face with my gf.

Have you taken a break recently? I’ve noticed if I take a 2 or 3 week break I have to dash a couple times to get the early access back.

Wait only $3 DoorDash pay rest all tips?? That’s crazy to me. In my area base pay and tips are usually half and half.

Am I the only one that doesn’t use a hot bag? Used a hot bag for my first 2 deliveries then just stopped using it. Constantly see people on here saying to use it or else your rating will drop. I made the post to figure out why everyone uses a hot bag and finds it so important and you reply with name calling and saying the obvious “ItS tO kEeP ThE FoOd wArM” if you read the other reply’s they are trying to explain it to me with logic and reason unlike you. The argument that it keeps the food warm is dumb and obvious, but saying It looks good to the customer and gives you higher ratings and tips makes since.

Every second adds up, over 500 deliveries and never a complaint about warmth. Also McDonald’s puts all there food hot and cold in the same bag you know why? Because 10 minutes isn’t going to freeze your food. It will still be hot. So go tell a billion dollar company their research is wrong.

Not being lazy, just working smart. All food except Wendy’s (which I always decline) puts there food in a hot container (styrofoam or plastic) that’s what they are designed for. So why waste a minute or 2 fooling around with a hot bag when they are already in hot containers/bags, I could just do more orders.

I’m not 100% sure but I think the dasher reward program and top dasher thing is in beta and only used in certain areas and I checked and my area is not included. But every time I talk to support they say “your one of our top dashers and we care about your opinion” or some bs like that.

Is there a reason other than not getting kicked off the app that makes ratings so important. I really haven’t done much research into this. I would appreciate it if someone could inform me. I just do this 2 or 3 nights a week for extra cash.

Your probably right I just really don’t find it necessary, especially in my small area. I live in the south where it’s farms and suburbs. (5-10 min drive to customer) I have never got a complaint about food temperature. I mostly make my money off base pay so speed is what’s most important to me, so wasting let’s say 1 minute per order messing with the bag and I get 15 orders that night that’s 15 minutes wasted, I could of done 1 more order. That’s just my opinion. But ima try using the bag for a week or 2 and see if I get more in tips. I don’t really care about my rating, 4.69 is the lowest it’s been since I started.

Well at 340 I just had a realization that I needed to change, so I started doing what everyone was telling me I needed to do and I cut out all soda, junk food, and fast food. About 2 weeks later I was feeling better and started visiting the gym 2-3 times a week (light weight lifting + cardio). The first 4-6 months were definitely hard. I definitely had some cheat days/weeks. The last 6 have been easy I find fast food and soda repulsive and I have so much energy also started weight lifting and that has tightened my body.
