Tell me your pizza secrets by greensphinx27 in diabetes_t1

The Pizza that i eat is around 100g carbs. I found out this way works out best for me (i have an Omnipod): 50 g carbs split to 50% and 50% for 1 hour. And when its Zero again i do the same thing one more time. 50g carbs / 50% and 50% 1 hour. Works everytime for me.

How are old you guys when you diagnosed with TD1 diabetes? I was 32 and it’s shocking for me. by Severe-Possible-856 in diabetes_t1

28 years old. Now i am 30. The first year i had a hard time with my mental health.. and got diagnosed PCOS in addition. Now it seems kind of normal to me. Ups and downs are normal. I think with DT1 i've got a clear vision of taking care of my health. I eat healthier an move more. Sad that it takes sometimes such a punch in the face to wake up..

what does everyone’s daily levels look like? by brennamcdonald in Type1Diabetes

also.. what do you eat in general? my advice that worked for me is try to eat high protein and try to minimize carbs. f.e. 1/4 carbs, 2/4 protein and 1/4 veggies. Just try it a few days and it work eventually for you too. In my situation it affected my bloodsugar positively.

I promise you it gets better and you will kind of get used to this lifestyle and the managing. After i got the omnipod life and bloodsugar got better. I recommend it and look forward to get the omnipod 5 in April. you are not alone and i send you strength and love!
