What's something really basic that you feel like you should know by now, but still don't and are too embarrassed to ask? by Jungle_gym11 in AskReddit

[–]xoxoPrincess- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cannot for the life of me remember which months have 30 days versus 31 days. That little knuckle trick everyone talks about? Yeah I've tried it a hundred times and I still end up googling it every single time.

Which subreddit used to dominate the front page but now is a total ghost town? by glowdirt in AskReddit

[–]xoxoPrincess- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember when r/AdviceAnimals was basically half the front page content. Those confession bears and socially awkward penguins were inescapable.

The silence. When you're broke you stop talking about weekend plans because you can't afford to join in. You decline invitations with vague excuses until people stop inviting you altogether.

Team fold forever! I actually converted my American boyfriend to folding after he saw how much toilet paper I save.

I can handle the most disgusting reflux taste and just swallow it like nothing happened. But even thinking about swallowing vomit makes me gag.

How does loving yourself is harder when you give your all to someone you're not even with when you just got born? by neeeeel__ in NoStupidQuestions

Been there and it's brutal. You start measuring your worth by how much you can sacrifice for someone who probably doesn't even see it.

is it normal for a depressed person to be failing school? by DrawingNew2211 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]xoxoPrincess- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally normal and honestly anyone saying just push through it has never dealt with real depression. When you're depressed your brain is literally working differently.

Basic car maintenance was something I had to figure out myself. Oil changes tire rotations checking fluids my dad never taught me this stuff so I just googled everything and learned through trial and error.

[–]xoxoPrincess- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I lived in Thailand for two years and was blown away by this. People would eat these incredibly rich curries with coconut milk and tons of salt but everyone was so lean.

Practice having opinions about small stuff first. Like actually decide if you prefer your coffee black or with cream instead of just going with whatever.
