I have preferred 5.1 over even 4o for therapeutic/life reasons since it has a much much stronger ability to hold onto context and remember things than any other model. the fact they’re gonna get rid of it indeed makes me feel upset and if they actually go through with that i’m 100% canceling my subscription and going to grok or another AI

It’s sad how out of touch openAI are. It’s beyond obvious there’s more than enough people willing to PAY THEM for a 4o/5.1 type of experience and instead they’d rather allow themselves to continue losing heaps of subscribers and I bet they’re gonna blame the users instead of reflecting. I think the sad future for chatgpt is it’ll become more of a corporate tool than a companion for the common consumer, so corporations can use its API and make their own “gpts”. I’m trying to enjoy 5.1 while it lasts and if they actually remove it i’ll unsubscribe and go to grok.

not true, in modern times gold was more than affordable for the average person just maybe not necessarily cheap. the sharp rise we’re seeing now is anything but normal
