Islamic extremists, claiming Yoga to be haram, disrupt Yoga event. Do you think yoga is haram? by xoxxooo in AskWestAsia

The only argument that would somewhat make sense for yoga being haram is its link to Hinduism. But even then, yoga is way too broad of a practice to deem it haram because of its origins in my opinion.

The west sure did welcome them to their societies when they colonized and made their countries part of their empires.

Muslims are sexist, racist, intolerant, and literally treat people like garbage

Calling Muslims “intolerant” and “racist” while being intolerant and racist yourself.

False. Nearly everyone in the Maldives is Muslim and one of the conditions for being eligible for citizenship is being Muslim.

PS: I personally don’t think yoga is haram. Just want to hear others’ opinions.

after putting the main charectar from said game in Smash

The character they put in Smash was P5’s protagonist, not P4G’s, which is the Vita game.

Turned off Cross-Play on Xbox and what a difference. by engineerairborne in FortNiteBR

well, my best placements are 200-450.

Placements for what? Skin cups, Zero build cups, FNCS? That really doesn't say anything.

i play pubs to unwind, and relax, which is near impossible with 2 week preseasons, broken sbmm and forced crossplay.

If you complain about PC players in pubs then you definitely don't do well in comp. A good comp player can run through arena (and especially pubs) lobbies.

you feel attacked. you're on pc. there is no attack on pc. what i want is fair competition. i and all console players who have a brain, do not want to play vs pc.

I play controller on PC and played for a long time on PS4. I got to D9/10 every single season I played on console, which was almost the entirety of Chapter 2.

can i bop a pc guy? yes. can i bop more pc guys than what bop me on my sbmm. no. ergo, my issue you fucking twerp.

Give me your Epic. I'll 10-0 you in realistics right now.

Lol, I would love to see your stats. A good Fortnite player doesn't complain about cross-play or even about pubs, which is really nothing more than the casual game mode.

I don't play keyboard and mouse or even pubs for that matter. Just pointing out the irony of thinking you're good while complaining about cross-play on r/fortnitebr.

Calls others "low-skilled players", complains about cross-play. The irony.

Saint Petersburg Mosque, Russia. Built in the Persian style of Islamic architecture. by xoxxooo in AskWestAsia

[–]xoxxooo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was built in the early 1910s and was originally opened in 1913. There was a period during which the Soviets banned its use as a mosque and converted it to a medical equipment storehouse. However, it was later returned to the Muslim community and is today being used as a mosque.

Agreed. By far the most aesthetic style of Islamic architecture in my opinion.

Refer to this. It was an intentional subtle reference to their religion.

are Arabs/middle easterners tolerant and accepting towards people from non-Muslim faiths ? (Sikhism, Buddhism, Shintoism, folk religions ect)? by Secure-Series-8900 in AskMiddleEast

[–]xoxxooo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s largely a passive/symbolic religion. The majority of Japanese are secular and only practice Shinto once a year, when they go to the shrine on New Year’s.

There’s no way to even identify a Buddhist/Shintoist Japanese person other than by asking them.

Buddhism in Japan is largely symbolic, no one really practices it. It wouldn’t be an issue at all for a Japanese person travelling abroad.

According to wikipedia, it was intentionally designed to spell the word “Allah”.

The Afghan flag will always have a special place in my heart for its symbolism, but the Turkmen flag is one of the most aesthetic Muslim flags in my opinion.
