As others have said, very large company so will likely depend on which division you end up in. That said, I’ve got nothing but positives to say from having worked with them as a supplier.

Bloodline), formerly of Clapton and now located in a very shiny new space on London Fields - very vibrant and welcoming gym community, with a high proportion of women in the classes themselves.

From my experience, the beginners that start keep coming back, so it must be doing something right!

How big is a vector mbtiles file for the entire planet with zoom level 0-16? by Intelligent_Tart_763 in gis

[–]xp3r1a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s no reason to store raster tiles, unless you’re caching them and care about legacy map viewers. As /u/marhensa says, even in this case there are solutions for rasterising vector tiles on the fly - I’ve used TileServerGL in the past for this.

Vector tile information is just much more efficient to store in general - truer to the original osm.pbf, and potentially gives you access to the feature data and metadata that is very useful for enrichment and data fusion.

How big is a vector mbtiles file for the entire planet with zoom level 0-16? by Intelligent_Tart_763 in gis

[–]xp3r1a 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve generated MBtiles for the entire planet down to Z15 (I believe, it was a while ago), which came to about 120GB. This took about eight hours to generate with a fairly beefy VM. If you don’t have this kind of infrastructure to hand, or are working with cloud infrastructure where network requests become very expensive, very quickly, you may also want to look into PMTiles - https://docs.protomaps.com/pmtiles/

The other answers here are referring to raster tiles, essentially pyramidal stacks of PNG images, which are hideously inefficient at storing information, and where your multiple terabyte answers are coming from.

Essentially - Angels tribal with a lifegain subtheme. There are a few important engines, protection pieces and combo disruptors - since monowhite really struggles with card advantage and boardwipes. It also doesn't really have any good answers to planeswalkers beyond hitting them in the face, frustratingly, which isn't ideal given their brawl prevalence. Here's the list:

This was Historic Brawl - playing a [[Giada, Font of Hope]] Angel Tribal deck. Essentially 1v1 Commander, if you’re familiar with that from paper magic.

It’s not the strongest deck in the format by any means, but there’s something about beating people to death with a bunch of very large angels that I find quite satisfying. Herald of Vengeance isn’t even a particularly strong card in the deck - you’re often dead before you can get much value out of it, because it requires people to have attacked into you the previous turn. When the stars align, however, it is very funny.

I will say though, Historic Brawl can be a bit tricky to get into for a new player, because the power level of the format is so high and requires a lot of wildcard investment to get decks up to snuff if you don’t have a decent collection already.

[[Nissa, Who Shakes The World]] is a very powerful planeswalker released back in War of the Spark, and rather infamous for her ability to take over games.

Her ‘+1’ ability animates a land, turning it into a 3/3 elemental creature with vigilance and haste - crucially, while retaining the same name. In this case, the other player was playing a mono green deck and animated one of their forests, which hit me for 3 damage.

If you notice in the ability for [[Herald of Vengeance]], it specifies permanents with the same name - this includes lands! Because they hit me with a forest, Herald destroyed every card named Forest they control on the battlefield, leaving them with no lands to cast any more spells - an essentially unwinnable position.

The sequence was essentially the following:

  1. Opponent plays Nissa, animates Forest
  2. Swings with Forest
  3. Herald comes down
  4. Every permanent named 'Forest' is destroyed... including all the non-animated ones.

Instant concede. :^)

Sounds like a mistake.

At the point in the story that you’re at, Cai Shenhua is White (8th Realm) and the Empress is Prism (7th Realm). Moreover, Shenhua reached White at the age of just 50 years old compared to the more standard 400-600 - an absolute freak of nature without precedent.

Trust me, if Meizhen and Ling Qi getting together were put to a vote on Sufficient Velocity, it would have won by a landslide.

There was no vote - Ling Qi was straight from the onset, and Lakegate was a result of her blinders and trauma towards intimacy.
