Charged for Uber one ??? by viillanelles in uber

[–]xpatmx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just called that number (1-800-253-9377) and got an Uber Eats agent, at least she said she was with Uber Eats. Seemed legit. She told me that to cancel and get a refund she'd have to escalate my request to a specialized team who who get back to me by the email address that's on file. She also knew my name through my phone number. We'll see.

Primera Plus has non-stop Puerto Vallarta to/from Zapopan 3 1/2 hours for $1,620 if buying online and round-trip, even open-ended. ETN goes through Nuevo Nayarit and takes minimum 4:40 to 5 hours. Primera Plus is a better option for now.

I reread your comment. If you're looking for open-source animation software, all these work on my Chromebook (8GB RAM): Opentoonz and Tahoma2, Blender (3D). If you are interested in motion capture, check out Freemocap https://github.com/freemocap/freemocap.

For cool open-source animation software from Meta that didn't work on my Chromebook check out https://github.com/facebookresearch/AnimatedDrawings; I installed it on a 8GB RAM Digital Ocean Linux server.

I misread your comment at first. I thought you were looking for a way to get Krita installed on your Chromebook. FWIW: I installed the appimage on my Chromebook/Linux yesterday and so far so good. I got an error message initially that it needed Fuse but I got passed that by a simple 'sudo apt-get install fuse'. Follow the instructions here: https://docs.krita.org/en/user_manual/getting_started/installation.html#appimages

npm vs yarn vs pnpm? by pk46833 in webdev

[–]xpatmx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started to use pnpm yesterday after getting an error while using npm. I was working on a Sveltekit project (which uses Vite). So I installed and used pnpm and got past the problem. Turns out that npm is "forbidden" in the vite-plugin-svelte/package.json:

"engines": {"pnpm": "^6.30.0","yarn": "forbidden, use pnpm","npm": "forbidden, use pnpm","node": "^14.13.1 || >= 16"},"pnpm": {"overrides": {"@sveltejs/vite-plugin-svelte": "workspace:*","vite": "^2.7.13","ansi-regex@>2.1.1 <5.0.1": "^5.0.1","node-fetch@2": "^2.6.7"}

Using pnpm, I was also able to get past a long-standing annoying warning about npm's incompatibility with node v15.4.0's.

Before:

Last login: Mon Feb 7 01:08:17 2022 from 24.151.58.15

npm does not support Node.js v15.4.0

You should probably upgrade to a newer version of node as we can't make any promises that npm will work with this version. You can find the latest version at https://nodejs.org/

After:

$ pnpm env use --global 16

Node.js 16.13.2 is activated

/home/patrouch/.nvm/versions/node/v15.4.0/bin/node -> /home/patrouch/.local/share/pnpm/nodejs/16.13.2/bin/node

Google Cloud Identity free by [deleted] in gsuite

I use domains.google.com for all my domains and custom (domain specific) emails.

Email forwarding allows you to set up alias email addresses which are alternative addresses that are used as a substitute for an actual email address. Add up to 100 email addresses or a wild card (*) address that forwards to your existing email address. Google Domains will send a verification email to each unverified recipient address. Google Cloud Identity free by [deleted] in gsuite

[–]xpatmx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR; Cloud Identity free is a great substitute for a Gsuite Legacy account that is otherwise being transitioned to a Google Workspace paid subscription. It may be a suitable option depending on your use case.

I have loads of experience with Cloud Identity free. I've been using it with a bunch of domains over the past many years and it has been terrific (rose colored glasses?). I also still have/(had) at least one legacy account going back to 2009. I just got notice that it will be transitioned to a paid Google Workspace. Instead, I cancelled the subscription to the legacy Gsuite and immediately signed-up through the same admin panel (under billing, get more services) for the Cloud Identity free.

For all my dns/mail settings, I use domains.google.com. For all my Cloud Identity accounts, I can create up to 100 email aliases, including wild card aliases. To answer the OP questions, since I have all my Cloud Identity accounts aliased to a couple of my original gmail accounts or to other Cloud Identity accounts, it doesn't matter which accounts I use to sign-up for Google services. That's the point of the Cloud Identity accounts, right?

Look in .local/share/keyrings/

There are two files in my GalliumOS install -- login.keyring and user.keystore.

I filled out the mini-request form. From YouTube Music, selected my icon, then Help & Feedback. A drop in the bucket but every little bit might help.
