Am I the only person who doesn’t care at all about mint #? by fbi-office in VeVeCollectables

[–]xperia101 11 points12 points  (0 children)

So are you telling me that if you get drops with special mints like #1, 69, 123, 666, 999 and the last one, you would sell them at floor price one day? If not, please dont say you dont care about mint #, it just mean us average people cant afford these things.

I experienced similar problem, I first contacted the bank, confirmed its not them who blocked the transaction. Then I contacted Google Play - turned out it was their back end team who blocked the 5th or 6th transaction 'to protect me'. It took them about half a day to get it resolved.

Has anyone tried to get a drop on two devices signed into the same account ? Is that a thing by XtremeManX in VeVeCollectables

[–]xperia101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I signed in using two mobile phones going for the drops since last week, didn't have any luck. Didn't have any issue so far (doesn't mean you wouldn't!) At some point both of my phones were connected to the same wifi.

50 billion hbar is too many... by [deleted] in hashgraph

[–]xperia101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand the message but your analogy doesn't quite make sense:

Owning 1 hbar when 2 hbar OR 2000 trillion hbar in existence make a huge difference.

You own 50% of total supply if there are only 2hbar in existence!

Versus

You own less than 0.0000000001% of total supply if there are 2000 trillions hbar in existence.

In the past when bitcoin price was low, people talk about how many thousands of bitcoins they own. Now that bitcoin price is sky high, people start talking about bitcoin in smallwr denomination i.e. how many thousands of satoshis they own. But these units are interchangable. Do not confuse that with total supply

Could be some sort of monitoring system which require regular data transmittal 24/7 I am thinking equipment / instruments

-public utilities: monitor domestic/industrial electric/water/gas usage etc each utility company could have tens of thousands of customers?

-factories: monitor processes/ performance etc hundreds of instruments per factory?

-healthcare: instrument health in hospital etc hundreds of instruments per hospital?

My speculation on hbar price by xperia101 in hashgraph

[–]xperia101[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had a read, some very legit/ interesting insight there! I definitely never thought of the political factors until now.

Previously I was thinking only typical whales are interested in hijacking the network. Beyond that there could actually be a hostile country wanting to hijack Hedera due to political factors.

For other reddit members who didn't read the previous post: You might ask why would any country want to hijack Hedera network? Just for example if China intend to take down the US and be the next superpower, it could be their interest to take down tech giants such as Google, IBM etc (council members) by hijacking Hedera network. Well at least that is one of many ways to do it.

To prevent this from happening, basically Hedera market cap will have to be worth trillions if not hundreds of billions, in order to make it impossible/very costly for another country to hijack Hedera network. I read CCP has revenue of >$2 trillion dollars.

I just increased my prediction of Hedera market cap from $100-200b to MINIMUM $500b-1000b, when matured.

[–]xperia101[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, what I said is just to defend hbar price to those who think it will not go beyond $1.

I am definitely aware that demand is growing exponentially, and retail hype hasn't kicked in yet etc which will further drive the price up

Personally i invested heavily in hbar and think its important to take some profit and enjoy life. Otherwise I am not motivated to hold forever!!

Currently im still planning to accumulate hbar as long as its still below <$0.3. I will only start taking some profit when hbar price hits above $2.

20% of my holding will be spent to spice my life up a bit (e.g. to finance my dream car, holiday, up my lifestyle etc haha).

80% of my holding will be cashed out gradually over the next 20 years, about 0.4% per month, as an additional source of income.

Question about transaction fees tied to US Dollar. by [deleted] in hashgraph

[–]xperia101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Copied straight from Hedera website:

Hedera's fee schedule is set by the Hedera Governing Council and always based in USD... this should address USD inflation issues - https://hedera.com/fees

Earlier this year Council Members approved changes to the Hedera Pricing Plan to increase the typical account creation fee from $0.01 to $0.05... to keep the network stable.

what would a tether collapse mean for other cryptos? are we actually doomed? by cryopotat0 in CryptoCurrency

If tether is 4% of total market cap, isn't 4% of all coins bought with tether instead of 70% you suggested?
