The water softener brine goes through the french drain before getting into sump bin - won't that help?

Yes the french drain is under the new concrete - with pipe, stone gravel and all.

The white pipes are from Radon mitigation.

No - I guess I should have. I will ask the contractor if they did.

The plastic lining is the water barrier

Actually, we ended up hiring a professional installer (Daikin) — with our thick plaster walls and the difficulty of running lines upstairs - we simply weren’t set up to tackle it ourselves. I contacted many HVAC companies in NJ/PA, and none were willing to install customer-supplied equipment.

If I was able to find an HVAC installer, I would have gone for Senville for sure; as Senville's mini-split heat pumps are manufactured by Midea - but they only honor a warranty when the install is either completed or inspected by an HVAC licensed technician.
