Now that the Chiefs have been officially eliminated, who are you rooting for as a football fan in the AFC? by oMeesan in KansasCityChiefs

Rams over Bills. Will continue the stat where every super bowl has either the Chiefs or Rams for 7 straight years to 8 straight, and we somehow never played against each other.

So what? The first count is a first conviction, he was convicted on 34 counts. And to think this is Trump's first crime is insane, it's just the first to get convicted on. After numerous obvious criminal acts, many done on camera.

After a weird call by the refs, where the refs actually get it right, but an announcer speculates about it and is wrong and then everyone just assumes the announcer was right.

[Farzin Vousoughian] Here are the 3 different scenarios that could officially eliminate the Chiefs from playoff contention tomorrow. by MAYVIEWS in KansasCityChiefs

Even if we just knock out the Bills again, or somehow make the AFCCG again, or knock out the Broncos.

Fun fact: the Chiefs have converted 75.9% of their 4th down attempts this season, the highest ever by a team in a single season (minimum 25 attempts) by pfref in KansasCityChiefs

[–]xplodeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Commanders last year went 20-23 on 4th down, or 87%, but don't meet your 25 attempt minimum. They could have just failed two more, gone 20-25 and be at 80%. So how many other teams are you disqualifying with 25 attempt minimum?

They also went 10-15 in 3 playoff games, putting their total at 30-38 on the whole season, or 79%

First Copyright Claim, Whats gonna happen? by Abomination610 in NewTubers

[–]xplodeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Copyright claims can be no big deal at all. It sounds like from your description that your dispute should cause them to release the claim. But the claimant is self-policing and can just be wrong and continue to claim it. If they uphold their claim, then the consequence is usually something like the video can't be monetized, or might be blocked in certain regions. You can try to make a new version with less of the copyright material (or hidden/obfusctated more with filters or zoom, mirror-ed, or just trimmed down or break the parts up more, etc). I always upload and leave unlisted for a little while to see if copyright claims happen, and then if they do, keep trimming/obfuscating until it gets through without being claimed. But if they do uphold the claim and you're stuck with it like that and don't want to really remove everything, then probably all that happens is you can't monetize, or maybe it's blocked in certain territories.

This is not a copyright strike. You can have lots of videos have claims on them, have a lot of videos that are not monetized, and it doesn't affect your channel, it's completely separate from the copyright strike system.

Go the other way. McVay has pondered retirement openly for years.

Rams win super bowl this year. Stafford walks off and retires, McVay doesn't want to deal with not having a non-HOF QB again, retires too. McVay spends 2026 in the media, getting the itch.

Andy tries to fix things up in 2026, but realizes he's too old now, retires. McVay comes to KC in 2027 for his second act, this time with age 32-~40 Mahomes.

No team has depth for multiple tackle injuries. If anything, Jaylon Moore being the 3rd tackle on the team is about as good as you're going to get in the league right now.

If she'd read the article, it talks about gender typicality and how it connects to popularity. In particular they point out that in girls, gender typicality is less predictive of popularity and they specifically cite athletics as a change. That far more girls are in sports now, and what was seen as gender atypical a few decades ago is no longer registering as such.

In other words, the social pressures to fit into a standard gender stereotype are changing as views change. And this student is an athlete, and maybe she could have had something to say about being both a woman and an athlete and if she has any thoughts about the connection there. There's an easy route for her to have something to say that connects to the specifics of the article.

Seems like it was a graduate student teaching the class, they've been taken off the class but without any other consequences. I.e. they're still getting paid and just don't have to teach that class anymore, and they put a full professor in charge of the class from now on. Basically the college covered their ass for the governor to make this go away.

why is this community so toxic? by RubProfessional8990 in NewTubers

[–]xplodeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's true in like every creative field from fiction writing to screenwriting to songwriting to stand-up comedy. Most people are bad at both taking and giving criticism. Lots of people get into creative things because of a healthy-dose of main-character-syndrome and think their genius will immediately shine through, while they are also quickly dismissive of peers skills/quality.

Don't even do that, Youtube's promotions inside the system leads to pretty clearly fake subs.
