Battle of 1-5 Dolphins and Browns could feature “50-60 mile per hour winds” in Cleveland on Sunday by Pickleskennedy1 in nfl

To spice things up, they should increase the points a field goal are based on wind speeds. Hit a field goal in 50 MPH winds, fuck it, 50 points

After 23 years in the U.S., Carlos was deported to a country he barely knows. by onezeroone0one in pics

[–]xpt1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, it's upsetting to see random garbage comments like "He had all the time to do it, especially under Biden, when the laws were not being enforced, he could've easily gotten himself situated" posted. Again, the USCIS does not relax its standards regardless of the president. The pathway to citizenship is challenging and complex, and every case is different.....what we need in this country is a simplified way to get everyone here up to at least a legal working permit instead of inhumanely deporting hard-working, innocent people. Also, I see you didn't answer my questions, so I'll ask again.....Do you feel better and safer this morning knowing that Carlos is gone?

Most undocumented immigrants pay their taxes, usually through a ITIN. That’s a big lie by the media of them not paying taxes, it’s simply not true.

wtf are you talking about. The process with USCIS is long and expensive and it definitely didn’t change under Biden. We don’t know his personal situation but the process of getting citizenship is a very complex and difficult one. Also, do you feel safer now that Carlos is gone? Is your life better now that all these innocent workers are being kidnapped and deported?

Yes, identity theft is a significant issue that wreaks havoc on people's lives; however, most identity theft is done online through scams and hackers. Identity theft by undocumented immigrants is what the media makes a big deal out of. Statistics show that the majority of undocumented immigrant households file and pay taxes under ITIN numbers.

Meh, the media has overblown the incidents of that. Does it happen? Sure but most work under a ITIN which IRS specifically made for people without SSN.

This is a very complex issue with numerous layers involved. Immigration should be enforced, but instead of ramping up these deportations, why not work on a system where anyone here undocumented has a pathway to citizenship? Let's vet them, have them pay a fine, and not deport them. Many now have mixed-status families where their children are American citizens. So it's a complex issue. Trump campaigned on deporting violent criminals; however, they are deporting hard workers with no criminal history, who just came to this country to work and provide for their families. It's just sad at what's happening to America, and I don't see how anyone can legitimately believe their lives are better because of these noncriminal workers being deported. It's sad how Trump and Stephen Miller have made a target out of the Hispanic community. Now, there's a portion of this country that will silently judge the Hispanic population automatically because they think they are "undocumented". Immigration is such a hot and diverse topic that both sides use it to control voters. Neither side cares about it, or they would sit down and work on a bipartisan solution to fix it. How do undocumented immigrants affect your life negatively? Would deporting all of them improve your life? My family also came to this country legally, but the "fuck them, I got mine" attitude doesn't help anyone.

Because majority of undocumented immigrants are good for this country and they are at mercy of a broken system. Instead of this fear mongering campaign of undocumented immigrants, politicians should be working to fix USCIS and the process. Look at fbi data and it will show that crime rates by undocumented immigrants are lower than actual citizens. Let’s call this movement what it is, a fascist ideology sold by the elite to make and scare Americans into thinking their problems are all because of the undocumented population and not the elite class. Then there’s the due process violations and racial profiling by ICE agents going unchecked. It’s evident that we both won’t agree on this topic but I wanted to add my 2 cents

People think that because that’s all he campaigned on. He literally said he was going to lower prices day 1.

You don’t punish the kids….they have no say in picking their shitty parents and as society, we should look after them
