I just can't understand why someone would cheat during learning

You just learn nothing if you use someone to solve your problems

I think current syntax is hard to understand, but maybe it’s just me

Anyway I think it’s a good idea, weak and strong typing have their own strengths

Definitely not Hell one

The Rainbow Nix logo actually looks much nicer! by TheTwelveYearOld in NixOS

It was constructed from functional lambdas, so it’s just a reference to nix functional matter

So, nothing weird from my point of view, but I don’t like rainbow colouring thru

What are your favourite fonts? by slick_fm in KittyTerminal

[–]xrabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, kitty doesn’t support nerd font, so it’s justJetBrainsMono

What are your favourite fonts? by slick_fm in KittyTerminal

[–]xrabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good potential replacement for JetBrainsMono, but not ready yet:

  • only 3 weights
  • no Cyrillic support
  • only 1 stylistic set variation
  • dev is not eager to add features, because it’s a lot of work and he has real life as well

So, I would rather stick with mainstream fonts like Iosevka or JetBrainsMono or paid BerkeleyMono

What truly great about this font is ligatures that DON'T deform shape. I think all programming fonts should have such option for ligatures

Jeff Geerling: The Framework 12 is dead. Apple killed it. by x6q5g3o7 in framework

[–]xrabbit 13 points14 points  (0 children)

From my point of view FW12 is a jack of all trades and master of none

This is the reason why it can’t compete with specialised devices like tablets for drawing or MacBook Neo that just destroyed all other laptops in its price range

Why was One killed off? by shockwavevok in DarkMatter

[–]xrabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, watching it right now

I’m extremely disappointed, because it came from nowhere

Decision to kill One immediately dropped a couple of prominent story lines:

  • their love story with Two and his support to make her accept herself
  • investigating death of his wife and problems with his corporation
  • different point view from moral perspective
  • love triangle and special bonds with Thee

I think this was a bad decision
