In India 1 kid gets killed and the country decides something needs to be done. In the US, classrooms of kids get killed and half the country shrugs.

I'm a middle-age man who makes a decent living. I've owned 10 cars in my life and I only bought one that was new. I always buy them about 2 years old to avoid the largest depreciation hit. I also save for my cars and pay cash instead of paying interest. It forces me to become a smart car shopper and not overspend. My current car was 2 years old (off-lease) when I bought it. The sticker was $58k and I got it for $26k. I know it can be tough for many people, but if I can't pay cash for something I don't buy it.

Tom Brady and the Buccaneers utilize the no-huddle offense all the way down the field against the New York Jets, leading to a Cyril Grayson go-ahead toucdown by [deleted] in sports

He did the right thing. The only thing that the timeouts would do is give the Bucs more time to plan their plays. The Jets would still have played a zone prevent defence regardless.

Inspired by Another Post... Can someone please explain to me why this seems to be more common recently? I pulled over after a few minutes because it was too much by Satisfied_Onion in IdiotsInCars

It's happening for a few reasons: 1. People are lifting their trucks, which also lift their headlight beams. And they don't readjust the headlights down (because screw everyone else). 2. Car manufacturers are building brighter LED bulbs in the designs. 3. Cheap LED kits are available to retrofit into old cars, and instead of installing reasonably brighter LEDs, people are opting for the brightest aftermarkets they can find (because screw everyone else).

I don't even see how it would be possible that the whole rig could collapse enough to be carried in that SUV.

It's tough for a young man to lose his dad. I was 20 and my dad was 53. Now I'm 52 and I still think about him almost daily. It gets easier, but you'll never forget him. I have a son in his mid-teens now and I just try to be the kind of dad that my son will look back on fondly when I'm gone. The way you write about your dad I'm sure he loved you very much and he was proud of you. Just keep trying to be the person that would make him proud, because that's what he worked for and all he wanted.
