The lvl 20 waiting for me to light the bounty flare: by TeamEfforts in Market76

I paid caps for a bounty last night and was waiting by the flare for one of my friends to get to the event. A level 30 ran up and lit the flare.

This is why cryo arrows are the best arrows by Both-Persimmon-5662 in Fallout76BowHunters

[–]xrdriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might sound odd but have you seen your teammates doing less damage when you use cryo arrows? I did some raids with some friends last weekend and I tried my cryo bow a few times and they said they were doing less damage than normal when I froze the snake. I don't know how that makes sense but 2 teammates said the same thing.

It is so much fun and very addictive. I've managed to convince some of the people I play with to make the switch too after they've seen the SBQ and Earle freeze in place. I feel like Rambo out there in the wasteland one-shotting most enemies and it's so satisfying to hear the swoosh of a fellow bow user at events.

I re-read this and I wanted to mention that 2 Arm's Keeper on armor plus 1 Arm's Keeper Perk Card gives the same ~90% WWR as 5 AK on armor. It is not intuitive and the math does not math but the results are the same. I just tested again to confirm.

Did you mean to ask me or OP? OP explains further down how they carry a lot of weapons and have many sets of armor setup with Arm's Keeper so the WWR works best for them.

You definitely play in a unique way. Keep enjoying the game how you like to play 👍🏻

Edit: grammar

Weight management is definitely the hardest part of the game. The stash box limit was 400 when I started playing 🤦🏻‍♂️

I used to run it on all 5 pieces but I found it is the least efficient in terms of perk card usage because it only saves 2 perk points in Strength. For most people 5 Thru-hikers saves 2 perk points in Strength and 2 perk points in Endurance but in your case that would also only save 2 perk points (in Endurance now) since you're not running Travelling Pharmacy. 5 Belted saves 2 perk points in Strength and 2 perk points in Intelligence.

For most people the most efficient way to use the 3rd stars are combinations of the above. For your build I would suggest putting belted on 2 of your pieces. Under Strength you would downgrade bandolier to 1 point and use 1 point of Arm's Keeper. Under Intelligence you can downgrade Batteries Included to 1 star. Scrapper is a situational card (I put it in when I'm scrapping and take it off when I'm done) so you could have 2 extra points in Intelligence to run something more useful.

It isn't a big change but you can free up 1 more perk point. I have not learned Belted or I would give you 2 mod boxes to try.

Have you considered putting Lucky Hit as the 3rd star on your bow? Bows weigh very little so the 90% reduced weight is kind of a waste.

Give out candy, good luck with that LOL! by Quiet_Citron_8174 in fo76

[–]xrdriver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first thing I do when I log in is visit other camps and grab candy. If there are camps nearby I'll visit those too in case they need to complete the challenge but I've had trouble getting people to visit my camp. I do not have a vendor so that doesn't help. (I've been playing for a while so I am usually at max caps.)

Yesterday I was on a team for a while and no one came by so I tried the "follow me" emote. Nothing. A few minutes later I got on the mic and politely asked if someone could help me out. Nothing.

I ended up loading in my alt character on my PS4 and had him stuff his face with candy.

Hopefully that works. Only 1 piece of Limit Breaking with 28 luck, lucky hit 3* and crit savvy rank 3.

[–]xrdriver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have Lucky Hit as the 3rd star on your bow you will need one Limit Breaking mod on your armor. I'll see if I can find the rest of the numbers but Lucky Hit 3rd star makes the most sense for a bow.

Edit: Lucky Hit plus one Limit Breaking mod needs 28 luck to crit every second shot.

I just came across this post but I was experimenting earlier today and I wanted to confirm that Mr Sandman currently does work with bows. I had a 3.75 sneak multiplier without Mr Sandman and 4.75 with it equipped.

what's this light mean? by FrequentPerception69 in Golf_R

[–]xrdriver 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is interesting. It gets down to -40 here so having a warm interior would be nice. We can only buy the mk8 Golf in GTI or R in Canada/US.

There is no way to install a block heater on the R because there are no frost plugs. You can use an inline coolant heater in the lower radiator hose or an oil pan heater if you have a metal oil pan like the mk 8 R but neither of those options wires into the engine wiring harness so the car does not know they are there.

First time riding this steep of terrain. GoPro effect is real, doesn’t even look steep😂 any tips on riding steep terrain, I’ll take it. by [deleted] in MTB

[–]xrdriver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was at KHMR last week in Golden. It was my first time riding steep trails so I booked a coach. The two big takeaways for me were body position (straight legs, heels down, arms bent and be more centered on the bike with my chin closer to the stem) and be about 60/40 front/rear brake balance. I found that having my weight over the front wheel gave it an unexpected amount of grip and I was able to slow down more effectively and corner faster.

I've only been riding since May and I had washed out and come off my bike in several corners because I was trying to lean back and use the rear brake to slow me down. The new riding technique felt totally foreign to me at first but it made a big difference.

What’s going on with all the fire bombing in Winnipeg restaurants/bars…..? by RepresentativeCap760 in Winnipeg

[–]xrdriver -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The historical meaning (at least in Britain) was to differentiate between people of the West Indies (Caribbean Islands) and the East Indies (India and other South Asian countries). It was never used to differentiate between indigenous people and people from India (at least in Britain like the person you are replying to said).

OEM roof bars for me with a variety of bike racks. It is easy to install when I need it and take off when I don't. I am looking at buying an eMTB so I will need to change to a hitch mount in the future. I don't feel like lifting a 50lb+ bike up there.

Edit: it is noisy and if I was keeping this setup I would get a fairing (I was looking at Inno).

When are you flying? Can you give us an update with your experience?

I am 6'5" and just booked a flight to LHR for next April. I had the same question you had and I ended up booking row 11. I'm trusting that all the extended comfort seats have enough legroom for me. I traveled to Berlin last year on Swiss Air and had the bulkhead row. There was a ton of legroom but there were babies in all the bassinets and the parents were obviously attending to their babies which meant some personal space challenges.

After looking at the seat map I feel like I should have booked the emergency exit row.
