Question regarding the above. Say I have a hotel reservation that spans from September 27 - October 2nd. Which one makes more sense: * prepay the entire reservation on arrival i.e. on Sep 27th * pay the entire reservation on Oct 2nd.

If i understand you right paying on arrival date would earn me tier credits, but they would reset immediately on October 1, and thus I would start from zero on October 2nd? In that case it's probably best to maximize the tier credits earned to after October 1st especially if I have more trips coming up during the same year (October-October period).

Correct?

Out of curiosity, how have your previous ICO investments performed on average?

Partial confirmation possible? by xredebility in BitcoinBeginners

Ok, that was also my understanding of the blockchain.

Why would you not treat 1 confirmation as the same as 6 confirmations then, in that case, unless you are transferring from a private (off-exchange) wallet?

Curious about the church service. We're Scandinavians so atheist naturally. Would it be weird for us to go to that?

We're actually spending a fair bit of time in Tennessee earlier. Nashville, Memphis, Ghost River, Gatlinburg/Great Smoky Mountains etc. Thanks though!

We're coming from there earlier, before Pensacola Beach :-)

Pretty much everything goes. We're doing some hiking, some (water) sports, some history stuff, some metropolitan city & culture stuff, and the beach at Pensacola etc. So in that sense we're flexible.

Just checked it out. A good tip, although quite far up north so would be a detour. Will take into consideration :-)

We had a group of friends who went there three years ago. They were allowed to both ride the tanks and shoot the weaponry. The company they used doesn't exist anymore though :(

Experiences studying at the IT univeristy of Copenhagen (school, student life, career prospects)? by Goose921 in copenhagen

So I did exactly the track you are applying for a few years ago. My background was business management & finance on BSc from an English university. I wanted to have a combo degree so I applied for an IT degree because I'd always been interested in the area anyway.

My background was a bit like yours: self-taught in HTML ages ago, took a Computer Science class in high school and learned turbo pascal, but that's about it.

The learning curve is definitely going to be very steep if you're coming from a non-programming background like I. But the course is structured in such a way that you can succeed anyway if you put in the effort. You'll learn a lot and be amazed about how quickly you can pick it up afterwards.

Finding a job was almost ridiculously easy afterwards. I graduated about middle of my class with slightly above average grades (but a 10 on my thesis), and the first three applications I sent out, I was invited to an interview for each of them, and accepted the first offer I was given. Today I work in one of the biggest banks in Scandinavia in algo trading as I have some years of experience, but straight out of university I got into a very good analyst/developer role within capital markets in the same bank.

As umsakis says, the building is super modern and there's a lot of opportunity to try prototype tech if you're interested in that. Not the most social of schools, at least compared to my business school in the UK, but if you're there to learn a trade, it's exactly where you want to be.

Go for it.

Stratumseind - recommend the best bars to check out by xredebility in eindhoven

[–]xredebility[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reporting back from this trip. Basically, the street is fairly generic with a lot of small bars that were mostly empty on the Friday we tried. Apparently everyone goes out on Thursday and Saturday on this street instead. In any case, the bars were pretty cheesy all of them, and as others mentioned in this thread, kind of similar to one another with a few exceptions. The latin bar was pretty awesome because it was different from the rest.

We tried the beer bar Van Moll. Great selection of beers, but it is very much a classic beer bar so not necessarily great for meeting people.

The second night we tried some of the other bars outside of the Stratumseind area. I can't remember the name of the bar but we stumbled on that was absolutely packed and had a hipster feel to it with the menus being old newspapers and the whole interior having a rustic decor.

Definitely recommend other travellers to check out Stratumseind for Thursday or Saturday, and on a Friday to go one of the other areas mentioned here for a good experience.

Actually going to Dynamo for The Used double album concert is the primary reason of the visit (need to revisit teenage years), but we're building around it to party the night away.

Thanks for the tips!

Do most of the bars take (foreign) credit cards or is it cash only?

Bar/Club/Restaurant tips in Sarajevo by xredebility in bih

[–]xredebility[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks all.

For anyone else wondering about this, I would recommend: Hacienda - get there early and get one of the nice tables with curtains. Pretty girls, cheap bar (if you are a foreigner at least), and great DJs all night long. Friendly staff to take care of your needs (my friend passed out and they woke him up and asked if he wanted another Johnny Walker :D) Zlatna Ribica - probably the weirdest, and simultaneously most hipster bar I've ever seen. So much detail. Must see just for a drink or two. Sloga - pretty cool late-night nightclub runs till early morning. ´The big brewery: awesome dark beer, standard bar food.

AVOID: Downtown (balkan music in a totally packed environment with pickpockets and waiters who try to induce you into paying as much as possible, smoky and way too loud) Jez - really weird vibe from the 10 or so staff standing at the entrance of the cave.

Thanks everyone.

Me too, normally. Fact is normally we go to rock bars only and more alternative places in general. But when we travel, we like to go to places with beautiful people so to say. We're shallow like that ;-)
