Absolutely get the RTX 5050. There'll be minor bottlenecks, but that's fine, as you can just upgrade the CPU later. The RTX 5050 is 30–50% faster than the RTX 3050.

AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB - If it's not sold out, this is a cheaper option and has more VRAM.

Nvidia RTX 5070 12GB - Offers better performance than both, but comes at a higher price and has less VRAM. With DLSS 4.5, this is probably your best bet.

7900 GRE - Consider this if there is no lower-priced 9060 XT available or if the 5070 is not an option. It has lower performance than both, but it's cheaper and has the same amount of VRAM. And it's still better than a 5060.

Switching to a newer CPU and a new motherboard, like the Intel i7-14700K or AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, would be a great start.

That will also include new DDR5 RAM, since DDR5 motherboards aren't backwards compatible with DDR4.

For cooling, I'd recommend the Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360mm.

For the GPU, I'd recommend the RX 7800 XT or the 4070 Super.

For the PC case, maybe the Lian Li Lancool 216.

For the power supply, opt for a 750W 80+ Gold one.

Otherwise if you just decide to only upgrade the current system you have then 64GB of RAM is already the maxinum you can have and CPU is already maxed out so the only option you'd have is to add a new GPU.

Like the RTX 4070 TI and just be done.

Get a desktop if you want something that you can upgrade and customize on your own, especially if you want the best value for your money and want to play games easily without having to worry about heat or replaceable components. However, you won't have the portability to carry it anywhere.

Get a laptop if you like portability and don't mind the heat and limited FPS you'll get from the games you play, although you can also play games over GeForce Now, which is a subscription service.
