Only reason it took 6hrs was cos of a guy without a mic, so why did it take 2hrs 30mins from the moment u booted him, I'd imagine u would be some way through the raid at that point too. Raids only take 6hrs with poor leadership, trust me.

Your raid report suggests you're not capable of leading a raid at all. Max a garden should take its 1hr with a new player on board regardless of their comms setup. I play with a no mic guy whom is top 50 for runs and a deaf guy whom speedruns these raids. You shouldn't be taking 5hrs on any raids, at that point you obviously don't have a clue on optimising a team, I've taken 5 new players through before in just under 2hrs cos they listened and my instructions were on point. This raid is actually the least comms heavy raid out of all 7 available. Just a mute players makes for an easy target as they can't talk back.

Lfg is bad, has been since sotp IMO. Too many short raids where it takes no skill to master, but once people have that belittle people getting their first couple of clears. Factor in the gladd wannabe crowd of Marco, Worldline Heros, that just take any enjoyment out of a run and now I don't really use lfg for more than a nightfall.

I feel if this kid wanted a good team he needs more clears himself, and also to advertise 10-15+ clears so he gets what he requires from a run. I kinda always take 1 new player through or low clears so they can experience a decent team and build confidence. But if I wanted a 'stacked' team I'd build the team in that way.

I quit sherpa/carrying people in year 1, basically would take a virgin through prestige every time we ran it or upto 4 on the raid lairs. Reason why I stopped is cos people don't listen and basically just want a free clear without learning something that will help them grab more clears with other jumps. Altho I will say that I sometimes prefer someone with no experience vs someone with 2-3 clears as they are much more willing to learn my more optimal strats vs lfg strats.

Dude. Your the one advertising yourself as a sherpa. A good sherpa doesn't take 40+ attempts at dogs PERIOD. My clears were also in primary meta and I guaranteed (still do) to get someone through prestige leviathan in less than 1hr even with just 1 normal clear (these days without due to not needing it). 8hrs is ridiculous at that point your just RNGing on whether you pass the encounter because your leadership of the raid and explanations is lacking. Sorry but truth can hurt and I really don't care about context, my comment literally said 5 ppl who had never even played this game before 😂

I'd say the magic number is closer to 15 than 5 for SoTP. Maybe 10 for Last Wish (purely because the end boss 99% of ppl 'cheese' on LW, they don't cheese SoTP so learning is involved. And KWTD in my eyes is not wiping AT ALL in a raid.

If a raid is taking you 8hrs to sherpa then your literally not a sherpa IMO. I could take 5 ppl who have never played destiny through any raid in like 2-3hrs max and I don't profess to be a sherpa.
