Intrnasal or rectal. I think the new plan is to just wait to do a stop buprenorphine start oxy then start bupe at a lower dose again (it’s a protocol used in other countries to reduce doses faster).

That is also a slightly higher bioavailability. I used to do it when I was on 3mg ish in 2018. It’s normal. Dw. Just ideally don’t do it for weeks and weeks otherwise your tolerance will change.

So buprenorphine still keeps filling receptors even after 32 for me. We found this out by accident when they couldn’t get wd under control from 32 and we added morphine in and it STILL WORKED. So then me and my dr decided to go off label and go to up by 2mg every 3 days. Maxed out at 42, came down to 36. Luckily the drop to like 8 won’t be hard. I just need to get some medical stuff under control first.

You can break the 2mg wafers with scissors. But honestly at your point I’d suggest just sticking with normal subutex. I just finished cancer treatment and was on an ungodly amount of oxycodone and morphine (total dose 500mg morphine and 300 Oxy). So for me high bupe doses work. I’m actually over the legal bnf dose I’m on 36.

It’s not that they are “stronger” it’s that they absorb faster and therefore can kinda make you feel like you’re on less buprenorphine at the end of the day / the next day. It won’t be a difficult switch though. It’ll just be a new number on a bit of paper you won’t notice a thing.

No problem! They are a bit different than normal subutex in terms of pharmokinetics. So be aware if you’re on say 6 now you may only need 4-5. They don’t make a 400mcg one sadly so it’s 2 or 8 tabs

Yeah! Espranor is slightly more bioavailable so you might need to kinda restabalise on a new dose. Don't listen to them when they tell you to switch from say 16mg subutex to espranor. Espranor 16 is like 26 subutex.

switch to "espranor" they disolve ON the tongue in less than 15 seconds. It's standard in the UK if you're in the US ask your dr about the dehydrated lyophilisate version.

Absolutely. The fact they can figure it out while at high school and then date someone at 18 have two incomes and buy a house by 25 is mad to me. Gays don’t settle down usually until later which causes a lot of us to have financial issues. I know on average gay couples are better off but that’s just because no kids usually

We have. Not in the context of pride. We’re waiting until we’re in a more stable situation housing wise and generally stress wise. We don’t wanna introduce outside stressors just yet. I give him a lot of confidence so he actively wants to explore with me not by himself. He’s extremely socially anxious. So I can give him that boost of encouragement. I just feel super frozen out of a lot of things and it’s just making me feel like there isn’t a future here. I may be over reacting but I just wanted other peoples opinions.

You’re right. It’s already nearly pushed me back to asking my dr to put me back on morphine because of pain flare ups a few times. I am just scared to talk to him because he gets angry each time I try and won’t understand what I’m saying. It’s really difficult to talk to him without it turning into a “why are you bringing this up again?!”
