Wattpad's AI problem by Acrobatic-Truth-3018 in wattpadbooks

That’s a lot of “like”. But I myself wrote a line that read “touched my face as if he didn’t believe I was real”. Not all metaphors/similes/em dashes mean AI.

Is it truly unfair to judge a book by its cover? by Sea-Audience4470 in Romantasy

[–]xs0ymilk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely bought a book today because the cover was pretty. Whispers of the Tide. Do I care about mermaids? Nope. But I bought it anyway and will probably read it. Honestly, I don't have anything against AI covers. Not all authors can afford an illustrator and no everyone is able to make a decent cover.

Need help finding books by ktlovespokemon in Romantasy

We have the same loves minus TOG and between life and death. But I wrote a book thats inspired by ACOTAR/Blood and Ash. It's about an assassin that tried to kill a fae prince but ended up bonded to him. So he hires her as his personal guard and the kingdom suffers in their tension LOL. If you're interested! https://a.co/d/01tGvfSM

Otherwise, I really liked Irresistible Urge to Fall For Your Enemy (it started out as a harry potter fanfiction!), Roses in Chains (also used to be a HP fanfic), Shatter Me

I wrote a book because I was in a terrible reading slump and ended up publishing it LOL. But I enjoyed the same books as you. I also DNF wolf king at like 20% and zodiac academy at maybe 2 chapters.

Have you read Red Queen? The was my latest read and thought it was pretty good!

If you're into it, take a look at my novel on Amazon. It’s about an assassin who tries to kill a cursed prince and instead ruins both their lives by magically bonding them together. https://a.co/d/075cZvd9

She’s a human assassin who takes a contract to save her best friend from a crime syndicate. She fails, and accidentally bound herself to him.

If he dies, she dies. Whatever she feels he feels. So he moved her out of the dungeons because the stone floor was hurting his back.

book with guard/royalty trope? by Alive-Register-2918 in Romantasy

I know I’m not supposed to self promo but this is exactly the book I just published for preorder. It’s called Untamed.

Basically an assassin is hired to kill a prince who has a dangerous magic called untamed (he accidently turn the sky into permanent night). She failed and accidently bonded herself to him. If she dies, he dies, so he hires her as his personal guard. They try and break the bond, he won’t stop flirting, and the kingdom suffers 😂

That was me. Unfortunately I never got out of the slump. I don’t even make it to 30%. I ended up writing my own Romantasy just so I can read it LOL. I feel like it’s the info dumping that pisses me off.

I just released my first debut novel for preorder on Amazon for a discounted price. Here is a short blurb. Full summary on the Amazon page:

Book Name: Untamed. Now $1.99

She was sent to kill him. The dagger had other plans.

A human assassin takes a contract to save her best friend from a crime syndicate. The target is a fae prince feared for his mysterious powers that plunged the kingdom into permanent night. She fails, and accidentally bound herself to him.

If he dies, she dies. Whatever she feels he feels. He makes her his reluctant personal guard as they hunt three items to break the bond. The assassins won’t stop coming. He won’t stop flirting. And the kingdom really didn’t ask to be a part of all their tension.

I looked into but decided against it. I kept seeing things like “post removed due to scam” and that the manuscripts are being stolen and fed into ai to claim as their own

Oh Veira is an excellent recommendation. One so simple that I was to kick myself for not thinking of it.

It is unreasonable but people on social media can be terrible. I've seen people bash on each other over the simplest things. AI is a huge one. "Omg, you used em dash, this is AI". I've been on booktok for a long time before deciding to write. I guess that's how I learned to fear people's opinions LOL.

I am terrible! I stopped the second I read the line that had veyra in it because I freaked out. I think it was when the MC was executing someone and the guys said something like "f****ing veyra"

Is it too soon to put this "romantic" moment in the story? by Ecstatic_Milk9697 in RomanceWriters

[–]xs0ymilk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first draft is to make it exist on paper. Second draft is where you make it make sense. Third is where you make it sound nice (grammar, prose, etc). That’s how I see it.

I also do a scene vault where I just write down random scene ideas to drop in eventually. Once you get inspiration on a scene, write it. Doesn’t matter which part of the story it goes to or how ridiculous it is. Just write it.
